Here kitty, kitty, kitty
Nice read this morning about what Kyle has said to Jeff Green. Green is supposedly headed to the #0 car and Kyle has told Jeff that he needs to do what is best for himself. The problem here is that the Petty's just haven't gotten all the sponsorship money yet for the #45 car and Kyle says that he just doesn't want to hold Jeff up to a new contract if they can't field a car for him and told him that at 42, he needs to take what he can since it seems that the norm these days is to go after the 19 year olds. Asked if Kyle would be driving the #43 next year, he said that is a possiblity, but he'd rather drive the #45 since that was Adams car number. However, their marquee car is the #43 and if they don't have sponsorship for the #45, he'd be in the #43.
Kyle is by no means being on the negative end with Jeff and in fact, is actually helping him to keep a ride. Also, Kyle said that he didn't want to make the mistake he made with Andretti and Christian Fittipaldi in that they were paid while there wasn't a car for them to drive and also there were plenty of people that were laid off because of no sponsorship.
I don't think there are many people who don't like Kyle and this is the sort of thing that gives him very good press. Kyle may not be the driver his father was, but the goodness just seem to ooze from them.
