Kyle Petty told Benny Parsons on his nationally syndicated "Fast Talk" radio program [PRN] Monday night that Petty Enterprises would certainly consider switching to Toyota if it made the team more competitive. While Petty said nothing is currently on the horizon with the Japanese manufacturer, PE would be open to doing anything to help the team win.(RacingOne)(5-16-2006)



I think the King's name associated with Toyota would be more marketable that 'ol Mikey's.
 
It would be better the mikey, heck Petty's cars have been everything under sun anyways, Chevy, Dodge, Pontiac, Ford.
 
couldn't blame him....but i dont really see it happening...now after a year maybe he'd have a high chance.
 
I think he would definetly have a great chance after the 07 season if they can show steady progress this year.
 
Let's see what happens when BOBBY LABONTE ends up in the Chase (I would love to see that)!
 
Bobby being in the Chase would be the best thing that ever happened for Kyle. Hopefully he would see that its not the equipment and PE could hire a competitive driver(s) to make Petty a force in racing again. Adam was to have been their future while Kyle just kept the name out there until Adam could move up. And, we can all agree Kyle hasn't been the same since Adam died.
 
I would love to see Bobby in the Chase, no matter WHO he's driving for!!!!!!

Yep Kyle hasn't, but to be fair to Kyle also he has done a lot of the business side of racing. He doesn't have the time to concentrate on racing as much as he did when he was younger. I'd like to see him retire and just run Petty, get another young driver to take over the 45.
