Shouldn't the #78 entry have an (i) next to it or did I miss something?
She's not running for X or Truck points, so might as well collect Cup points.Shouldn't the #78 entry have an (i) next to it or did I miss something?
Oh, OK thanks. I didn't realize that a driver can get points driving for a team without a charter. I had to use Google, but apparently teams without a charter also can get points. Always learning something new about this point system. She's not running for X or Truck points, so might as well collect Cup points.
Right lol? In all honesty I'm pumped about multiple compounds, it's what has been lackingShriners Children’s 500

A coincidence ?
Didn't win a race at Phoenix in 31 starts that McMurray?Except it wasn't. As Jamie McMurray said on DBC years ago Phoenix hasn't ever had a good race.
So is the idea here to see if the "option" is conceivable for the Championship?2 sets of soft “OPTION” tires for this race. This tire was run at North Wilkesboro and at the second Richmond race last season.

Notes – Cup teams have both “Prime” and “Option” tire set-ups at Phoenix: Being on the 18-inch bead diameter tire, NASCAR Cup teams will run different tire set-ups than those in the Xfinity Series at Phoenix this week . . . similar to the 2025 All-Star race at North Wilkesboro in May and the points-paying Richmond-2 in August, Cup teams will have both “Prime” and “Option” tire set-ups available this weekend . . . on the Prime set-up, this same combination of left- and right-side tires was run at Iowa, New Hampshire, North Wilkesboro, Phoenix-2 and Richmond-2 last season . . . on the Option set-up, these are the same two Goodyear tire codes that Cup teams ran at both North Wilkesboro and Richmond-2 last season . . . with this 18-inch tire, and its lower profile sidewall, NASCAR Cup cars do not run inner liners in any of their tires.
Wet Weather Tires – Goodyear brings white-lettered “wets” to Phoenix: Goodyear will bring its 18-inch wet weather radial tires to Phoenix for the NASCAR Cup cars, should NASCAR determine that conditions warrant . . . Cup teams will have a maximum of 4 sets of wet weather tires for the event . . . NASCAR Cup teams last ran the wet weather tire in competition at Chicago in July . . . in addition to the obvious difference of a tread pattern versus Goodyear’s dry weather “slick” tires, the “Goodyear” and “Eagle” lettering on the sidewalls of the wet weather tires is white, not the standard yellow.
Goodyear quote – Stu Grant, Goodyear’s general manager of global race tires: “Phoenix has been an important track, with it being the site of championship weekend for the past several years. This weekend we continue with the development of the short track package for the Cup Series, and we will have an Option tire as part of the racing. We quite successfully ran an Option twice last season so we now get a look at it on a racy, one mile track. Cup teams will have two sets of Options for the race so we’ll see, like at the second Richmond race last season, how teams will deploy them to best maximize their strategy.”
LOL...he won a Busch race there...What does that have to do with his comment?Didn't win a race at Phoenix in 31 starts that McMurray?
I could see them having a "tire war" with competitionting internal development teams at Goodyear.Goodyear gets a live, real time test . Not a bad deal!

Why not just let 'er rip this weekend? If it works as well as it has previously, I think we’ll see it at all shorter tracks.
Eh, this is pretty much why Drivers opinion about tracks I take with a grain of salt lol. Listen to Gragson's picks. Frankly I do the same for fans opinions about tracks also. Most of them are biased.LOL...he won a Busch race there...What does that have to do with his comment?

It's a thing called practice and qualifying. It was on the other CW, the CW app. Nascar didn't show timing and scoring from their website either.Basketball ends a half hour before the race starts, not sure what the problem is?

The point and conversation was that there are 2 different CW's ....CW and CW APP.And cup qualifying isn't on TV either. Not enough people are interested in watching it. They make more money playing something else. If enough people watched qualifying they would play it on TV but not enough people do. No excuse for NASCAR website not showing scoring.
