Phoenix Qualifying

Imagine a world where qualifing actually meant something...

*POOF*

PHOENIX!!!!!

Both Red Bull teams were in the Top 35 last year... 93 is the new 4
Red Bull points

I've said it many times before and I'll say it again... the point swapping/buying BS needs to be stopped. It's confusing and two guys who don't deserve to race tomorrow are locked in now.

As slow as those BK cars are I doubt they will still be in the top 35 after 5 races.

And even though Reutimann makes it on time, that situation really bothers me. There are two totally different teams fielding that car.... the top 35 rule needs to go.

Right, but if only 44 and 45 cars show up at tracks, they're locked in no matter what because the 37 goes home because 0f the points swapping BS.

The top 35 :bsflag: sucks.

BK Racing (83 and 93) bought the remaining assets of Red Bull Racing. They also got the points RBR accumulated for the 83 and the 4 in 2011. I don't have a problem with this as it is not really "points swapping".

Now, the 10 car "buying" points from the 36 IS bull****.

And as for the Top 35 thang... Yeah, it's long been an issue with me.

ANOTHER car that doesn't deserve to race.

Qualifying is useless. They might as well draw for starting positions since it's basically pre-determined who does and doesn't race.

The #32 bought the #6 points.

The #32 races under a different number. Don't worry, nascar said it was ok.

The 6 ain't racing full time in 2012 so in the eyes of NA$$CAR, their points were "available:, I guess.
More Top 35 BS...

Congratulations NASCAR, the "top 35" rule and allowing teams to literally buy their way in to races just sent Timmy Hill home. :bsflag:

I wonder if the NFL will institute a similar rule and allow the Redskins to buy wins from the Falcons when they're knocked out of playoff contention... or if they'll say the Patriots are automatically locked in to the playoffs regardless of their performance.

NFL has franchises, so the teams play every game.

I don't like the top 35, but there are some reasons for it. I would prefer top 20, then hardly anybody would be shifting points.

I say top 12, driver's points. You make the Chase, you're guaranteed a spot for the first five races... and applies to the driver so owners can't shift points within their teams.

Who's that ugly dude in your avitar?

That would be MiniMe! :D

It was great to see Kram Nitram get the pole! And I loved it when Smoke came up to him and called him a "show-off". Just Great! BUT, I was really hoping that Regan Smith in the 78 would hold on. What a great story that would have been!

Gonna have to revisit my Yahoo! picks, I think...

unfortunately for me, both of my "A" picks had ****** qualifying efforts. :(

I really like Regan Smith. Looks like Tony is picking up where he left off when the team found something for handeling.
