Anyone have any advice about the Phoenix Xfinity race? What time does it usually end? How bad is the traffic getting out?
Taking a trip out to Phoenix and Cali for some races. Saturday the 18th there is Xfinity at Phoenix as well as K&N Pro Series west at Tucson... Trying to figure out what time i'd be able to arrive at Tucson raceway. More worried about that race than the Xfinity race..

I don't know the amount of time but I had the preferred parking pass when I decided to go to Phoenix last year and got out pretty quickly. Have fun at the races.

It's best to fire up the grille and tailgate while you wait for the lot to clear out. I'd rather sit next to the BBQ than sit in traffic.

I guess you didn't read my post...
The entire reason to try to leave in a hurry is so I can make it to a NASCAR K&N Pro Series race happening on the same day at a race track in Tucson....
Firing up the grill would ensure that I make it there later than desired...

Traffic isn't usually bad at all for Xfinity

I have heard this little rumor but I don't know if it is true or not so take it with a grain of salt.
For the Cup races, they usually fall on the same day as a home AZ Cardinals game, and so the police limit the amount of traffic that exits on the east end of the track (i.e. the direction back toward the city that 95% of people want to go). So traffic getting out of a Sunday Cup race is a disaster, but this same issue does not occur on Fridays or Saturdays so the traffic in and out is a breeze.

Is there such a thing as 'Phoenix Xfinity race traffic'? When I read the word Xfinity in there, it makes me think it's an easy in, easy out.
Of the half-dozen or so X races I've been to at various other tracks in the last decade, traffic wasn't any problem at all. Truck races either, although I imagine Eldora is a different critter.
