Anyone going to the IRL race in Phoenix next week? I'll be leaving this Sunday and driving my rig cross-country. I'll be at the track doing setup on Thursday.

Wish I was going. I went to Miami. I think the farthest I'll be able to venture outside of Pa the rest of the season is INDY. I'll be at Richmond & Nazareth. It's possible we might make Michigan, but not sure yet. Have a good time & enjoy the weather!

You should have stopped by and said hello! Of course, you wouldn't know where to look if I didn't tell you. :lol:

I was working with the group that set up the traveling stage (driver intro-pre-race stuff) We were parked just outside the garage area in turn one.

Maybe we will catch you at one of the other races. My next one is Texas in June. We don't do Japan and Indy.

BTW P.G., what did you think of the stage set-up at the start finish line? I was driving one of the road tractors that pulled the flatbeds.

The stage is new for this year. Last year, we were using the stage that we used for NASCAR but we have a seperate stage for IRL now.

Here it is... would look better if the fence weren't there. We were on our way to our seats by the time we saw the stage. My friend commented on how cool it looked so I snapped the pic

I took a few pics while we were putting it together but I don't have one of the final production. Couldn't really take a camera out there and hold on to it while I was working.

I did notice that it looked good on the big screen that they had behind pit road.

Sounds cool you guys (and girl). Make sure to give us a great report on your trips this year. I will be going to Kansas for the third time, and the racing has always been good there. Especiall last year when Sheckter put it in the wall with four to go from the lead.
