I will go Cole Sh*t for gassing into the back of Justin Awesomegier

Carl won this award multiple times during the race.

He was making it 3 wide almost the entire race, the most noticeable moment when he nearly collected Jimmie.

And of course coming short on fuel with two to go despite having pitted with his group of cars that should have all made it to the finish which they all did.

Big fail.

+1 For Carl. Although I'd place more of the blame on his CC for messing up the fuel mileage game.

Joe Gibbs for completely missing the setups on all of his cars, especially with Matt's at a pivotal moment.

JJ for not winning the race and clinching the cup.

Never mind.. I nominate Jason Ratcliffe for telling Matt Kenseth that there was nothing he could do to help his car. Who would tell their driver that in the second last race of the season racing for a championship. Absolute fail. He choked and gave up. Doesn't deserve the cup.

Not to mention that terrible pit stop right after the 48 had that near-wreck. That was an opportunity to get back in front of Jimmie, and they completely blew it.

Agree on the whole #20 team.

I can't remember the last time a legitimate championship contender was almost a complete no-show for a whole race so late in the season like that.

What about Hamlin at Homestead in what I think was the last time Johnson won a championship? Hamlin was driving way too hard early on in the race, spun out through the grass, messed up his front toe-in and that doomed him for the rest of the race.

Joe Gibbs Racing. Somebody up in there has their head in a dark place.

Last year same race. Johnson started 24th never led a lap, highest position 6th, finished in 32nd place.

I dont see what the 20 team did as bonehead. Since when is missing a setup a bonehead move? You really dont know what you got until you go and race the whole field at the same time.

Take Jonhson for instance. I thought when he got the pole that he would absoutely annihilate everyone and he barely led like 1 lap or 2.

I'm changing my pick to Jimmie for not leading the most laps and winning the thing. What a damn bonehead that guy is.

So why put 3 crappy cars in the race ?? Why not change it up a bit so at least one car will be competitive. Its not like they didnt know something was wrong, the 18 was pushing the front all weekend in CLEAN air. What the hell did they think was going to happen in traffic ?
Gibbs "golden boy" started almost mid pack, poor spot for an "aero-tight" car

Makes me wonder if they were trying their best to fail.

Thanfully the Nationwide "notebook" for Phoenix has some useful info in it. The one for the cup cars must have been written by a comedian

In Natiionwide he races against boys and in Cup he races against men.

LOL @ Gibbs "Golden Boy"

I suppose it's better than being the problem child.

Brad K ------------------ Harvick--------------------- Kenseth ------------ are those the same "boys" that race in the cup series ???

One is the reigning champ
One is the guy that won 7 cup races this year
One is the guy that won the cup race at Phoenix this last weekend.

Last year JJ at least worked his way up through the field all the way up until he blew out the RF. Kenseth was irrelevant pretty much all day except for when different strategies were cycling through.

Hamlin goofed that up for sure. Might not be as bad as the 20 group though.

Well Hamlin did good for 30 laps even led so the car was fast, the problem there is clearly Hamlin. He cant even keep a car straight anymore so you have Kyle and Matt.

Kyle was about a 10-12 car all day and drove it to a solid 7th.

I bet Matt thought he had a decent car in practice. You cant tell with these cars.

Now I will give you Ratcliff for acting like a clown out there laughing with his crew after they screwed up big time in the pits. 2 races to go, you're out to lunch in one of them and all you do is laugh it up? That's lame.

LOL I'm actually defending Matt here. Oh boy.

Gibbs put the crown on the wrong guy. He has the best driver in the sport, all he needs to do is put the right people behind Kyle and he will get the result he is looking for. Just my opinions of course but thats what I believe.

Fine. Let me fix it. In Nationwide he races against 3 men. In Cup he races against 41 men.

Kyle has great people surrounding him. Perhaps not exactly the ones he needs.
This Cup Series is so competitive that chemistry plays a huge part. Chemistry is the reason there have been no driver/crew chief changes in the 48 camp.

Well those three men better step it up then cause Kyle whips them pretty regular. Even managed 4 wins in the mens series too :D
Then there are those truck series wins too
What a talented guy that Kyle Busch is :)

Thats more or less my point Bobby, The chemistry may not be right.
