What do you think is going to happen when thoes splitters get into a gravel trapp at a road course?
 
Will this help Toyota close the gap on some of the others? (since EVERYONE will be working with a 'new' aero package?)

Something to think about I guess....

Wether it becomes a shovel or not depends on how you hit the curb.

i'm wondering about where the wing will go when they back into the wall. Is it tethered, i cant tell?
 
They're going to have rear deck lids with the wing attached @ the pits for a speedy exchange. The wings can't be attached separately is my understanding.
Depending on the track the splitter may or may not have as much effect.
 
I heard that NASCAR will hand out the wings. How many of them will each team get? There will be some new questions after this weekend I'm sure.

Will Lil'E get the special wings like he gets the special restrictor plates? Or, is NASCAR saving those for Montoya?

Also, you have to believe that the Red Bull team will have a distinct advantage...it gives you wiiings...
 
To me, personally....they look much more like a stock car than those spaceships they're driving now. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing them perform on the track. If it means the end of aero-push and drivers ability can actually come into play again...I'm all for it !!!:beerbang:
 
The C.O.T. looks like POOP ON WHEELS!

The COT I feel will be a huge failure. I am curious to see how they look after smacking the wall and what happens to all those little pieces that hold those stupid wings on.Flat tires every where. Go Goodyear!

I wholeheartedly agree, maybe the racing will be actually racing again. How much can a team adjust on the wing? Is it a fixed piece of equipment with an angle set by Nascar?
 
I read about the splitter, the wing info i'm unsure so i'm stating the general rule road racing has set for it, nascar may or may not be different.

Teams can adjust the splitter from 4 to 6 inches extension, and adjust the wing among 12 positions.

and if you're wondering about the little rods holding the splitter on, the nose of the CoT is very similar to that of a truck.

I've been told that to adjust the splitter you have to remove the radiator. So once the race starts you got what you got.
