Nothing really special here but I promised Bobby I'd post some pictures from RIR. I have to say the race was a dud as far as Richmond races go, but I still had a pretty good time at the track.

This struck me as funny for some reason. Drive through Krispy Kreme

The pit passes were not "hot". We gave them away after we came out of pit road so some other fans could go down there.

Here's what it looks like up in the Mezzanine. Concessions and bathrooms right at the top of the grandstands with no massive packs of people. TV screens with race coverage and the running order is a nice touch. Escalators from the ground take you up there.
If you're thinking of going to a Richmond race in the future, I highly recommend getting seats in the Commonwealth Mezzanine.

I was looking at the RIR website a few days ago for a possible future Richmond trip. I'm gonna guess you got the 325$ pit pass+ mezzanine ticket that's good for the Cup race and Friday. If so, that's an epic deal.

Actually the tickets were free compliments of Sunbelt Rentals. The pit passes were nothing to get excited about since they were only good for when nothing was happening on the track.
You can get seats in the Commonwealth mezzanine for much less than $300.

If I were Mike Helton, I would not dare walk among race fans with this disgusting POS playoff system in place.


I bet he has received plenty of "positive" comments about this new chase by angry fans.
