This is going to be cool.

Piquet, a Brazilian native, will drive the Randy Humphrey Racing No. 77 Ford in Sunday's Cheez-It 355 at The Glen. Since 43 cars are listed for the 43-car event, Piquet will not need to qualify based on his speed in Coors Light Pole Qualifying unless another team files a late entry.

Prediction: He and Said tangle on the 1st lap, with Boris asking his address post-race.

I hope not...Enjoyed watching his father race. Some of the comments on nascar.com say that Jr is a jerk, but I will judge on what I see.

well....thats not cool...looks like an angry driver. Lots of drivers throw punches

I actually enjoy his aggressive driving. Don't like his 'just like Daddy' nut kicks or twitter comments toward Parker Klingerman.

I am sure that many will disagree however I think the day of ringers on a road course has passed.

Sure some of the cup guys have not mastered turning right as well, however the overall skill level of the cup guys have improved dramatically over the years, they ARE damn good drivers and also........ they already know how to drive a cup car.

Boris Said, whilst giving me one of the top 5 funniest post race interviews ever with his 'text me his address' statement, should stick to sport cars.

Agreed 100%.

These days, the ringers are only asked to keep the car in one piece and hopefully have a decent points day. In the not so distant past, they had higher expectations and generally performed much better in races than most of the NASCAR regulars.

Didn't Boris essentially teach a bunch of these guys how to race on a road course?

No Nigel Mansell fans?

Just kidding, nobody liked Nigel Mansell outside of England.

I know this is not the board for it, but I just have this burned in memory of Senna leading and they were talking about Piquet and whether he would turn the boost up to catch Senna. LOVED that stuff.

he would turn the boost up to catch Senna

NASCAR Fan: "That's video game crap. We don't need that video game crap. That ain't real racing. I don't like that video game crap. Don't need any ******* computers driving the car."

Now there's a formula for nice quiet days of the family watching F1.....NOT.

Senna was great, but he was also nutty as hell.

Oh yeah we used top scream and holler.....it was classic. Lived in the country so sometimes all we had was F1 for sports. Was great. loved the black and gold John player special car. Loves the scheme so much that this is why when NASCAR got going I cheered for Rusty.

I think it will remain prevalent with the smaller teams. Last year Boris finished 18th and 22nd on the road courses; the only other times that #32 car even sniffs that high high up in the finishing order is when Terry Labonte runs the restrictor plate tracks in it. Generally road courses are those teams' best opportunity for a good finish and the ringers usually provide that.

I still think if you put someone like Scott Pruett, Ron Fellows, or Jan Magnussen (who I think are all better than Said) in a good Cup car they would have really good runs. But there's really no point for a major owner to do that so it will continue to be a small-time or Nationwide deal.

LOL. there was sooo much strategy,...like turn up the boost...waste your gas or keep boost low and try catch him without boost...I remember jumping up and down...

Good for him. I really liked him when he was running nationwide and trucks, he's a talented driver. It's also not fair to call him a ringer because he has 2 wins in the trucks at Las Vegas and Michigan and a K&N win at Bristol

The guy is a menace on a road course. He will bounce off of anyone near him. He's a turd, IMO. I hope his stay in NASCAR is brief.

He raced some stadium Rally. He went in to hiding after nascar sanctioned him for calling Parker K a phag on tweeter.

He's on his way to winning the Red Bull Global Rallycross championship so he's doing a damn good job hiding
