In yesterday's race , most of the front running cars did not allow for multiple green/white/checkers in their fuel strategy . As it turned out , they didn't need it . Should the crew chiefs today ,plan to stop a little later and have extra fuel for mulitple GWC s ?

I think if you plan on one you may want to plan on multiple. It's hard at these road courses because you can get behind in a hurry with the wrong strategy. I like the running the race "backwards" strategy and see how it unfolds.

It's very possible that the winner will be the driver who saves fuel, tires and brakes for those GWC's. I see 2 drivers who have the advantage if the race plays out like that. Matt and Brad.

So ,is that a yes or a no ?

The question is , should you have enough fuel on board for muliple g/w/c s , or risk a green flag run to the finish ? Yesterday some of them were lucky there were some caution laps late in the race . A g/w/c would have meant lots of them running out of fuel.

Aww you had to spoil it for us and explain it a second time, you know we like to go off topic and rant and rave for awhile.

I'D RISK THE GREEN FLAG RUN TO THE FLAG AND NOT PLAN ON MULTIPLE G/W/C's.

Historicaly how often do you have a Green/White/Checker on the road courses? How much will fuel injection at the road courses? Remember FI will improve fuel mileage more on a road course than anywhere else.
I'd go for it Two stops and Win!

Larry Mac , for all his fuel analysis talk , has yet to mention g/w/c .
