Please don't use J.J. to describe Jimmy Johnson

All, Since there is a new hotshoe on the circuit named J.J. Yeley, it is almost an insult to refer to Jimmy Johnson as J.J. As you know from reading the Winston Salem Journal, rumors can change a drivers life for better or worse. So by using the name J.J. for Jimmy Johnson will destroy J.J. Yeley even before he can start his run for rookie of the year. Now, if J.J. Yeley starts pulling "A Johnson" every time he runs, then by all means, it will be open season.

Just something to think about. :growl:

Please do tell Wide, how many races has JJ Yeley finished a complete race??? And, I have nothing against Yeley.

None thanks to your boy Maj. HE had a great car and a shot at running up front, until he got caught up in Johnson's bumper car fallout.

Oh, so you are telling me that Jimmie Johnson is responsible for EVERY car he's wrecked this season??????? Gimme a break!!! :beerbang:

I thought JJ wus the guy who always said...."Dinomite!"

Hey, all I am saying is that you don't need to use the name J.J. when talking about Johnson. All you have to say is when you push a friend by accient is.. "Hey, don't pull a Johnson"

JJ Yeley's BGN numbers are about as stellar as Johnsons. If he wins ROY, it just shows how sorry the series is becoming as a whole.

Don't call him JJ? How old are you? I haven't been to this site in a long time and it seems like it's been taken over by infants. Your driver did this . Oh yeah, well your driver did this. I remember when I used to be that way. It was long ago in a galaxy far far away. That would be a Ford Galaxy up in Ohio. I was just a lad watching nascar and when my driver took the lead, I jumped up and yelled.....but at the same time I crapped my pants. My dad got so mad he wouldn't let me watch the Brady Bunch for a week. That Alice really turned me on in that tight uniform and her bosoms protruding....um....anyway, it wasn't a pretty site. I lost my train of thought. Oh well, The End

I agree Fergy. JJ has been there long enough to own the name, regardless of who else comes along. Maybe Yeley could be JJY or something like that.

I think "Yeley" stands on its own...

Heeeey! Yeley Yeley....

(anyone else notice his name is one of those words that's the same forwards and backwards!...bet that'll get some milage in the racing world!)

"You can't tell if you're passing him or if he's passing you..."

Well until Yeley wins a Cup I'm still going to refer to Jimmie Johnson as JJ or should it be Whinestein? When is the guy going to quit his belly aching and go win a championship??? Guess he takes after his mentor in only 1 way the whining and crying way. He has mucho talent, but until he earns my respect as a competitor, a humble one, then i might like the guy.

he has not had very good luck in Cup, but he is also driving a not so good car.

I'll go one step farther. Stop calling all drivers by their nicknames. If I never hear another reporter use Smoke, The Biff (which is the most annoying nickname in history) or The Rocket again it will be too soon.

The nicknames don't bother me (except for The Biff), but I don't think every time they talk about Tony Stewart they should refer to him as Smoke.

You gotta think the reporters are trying very hard to be as cordial, and buddy-buddy with the drivers as possible so they can get their next scoop. I would think that's probably why they use them so much. =)

The Biff is a new one though, and well...it sucks. =)
