I'm sorry, and I'm not trying to cause any problems, but I'm not sure this thread is appropriate.
I wish I was warned that I would be seeing pictures of a dead animal when I clicked on this thread.
Maybe you can change the subject?

What is wrong with this thread? I see no problem with a member posting pics and asking for help in identifying the subject. Sorry if you are squemish, but that's just life.

MAGNET, DID YOU CUT YOUR HAIR?

no, that's my friend pictured...

(but i did have about 4-5" cut off a few weeks ago, a week or so after the texas weekend)

Dang Magnet, I LIKED it the way it was!

Why not check out herpetology on google for an ID on that snakie?
Kinda looks like a King Snake to me, but I'm sure no expert!

I would guess its what we used to call a "chicken snake" or "rat snake". I can't remember the true name for it. With it being almost six feet long and somewhat thin reminds me of them.

I can't tell by the picture but does it have fangs? Also, most vipers, or poisonous snakes have a triangular shaped head.

that is NOT a water mockson (sp) and the color is not light enough in the pic for it to be a copperhead, i don't know what it is.

Water moc. also know as a cotton mouth have white inside the mouth. The snakes body color does look like a cotton mouth.

my friend thought it was a chicken snake but wasnt sure. He hadn't killed one in awhile... i'll check the loink thanks kat.

If the cat isn't dead yet, it wasn't poisonous.
It still might be poisonous if the cat isn't dead, but sick.

Lappy, they say that FROGS taste like chicken too! (Fond Frog Memories?) [Kat HIDES]
