Do you think we'll get the race in? It's raining again...

Well they are singing

so I guess the cars will hit the track pretty soon..It's 3:35 Cent time now.
Betsy:rolleyes:

Dern, Hamlin has some nice eye candy...
Poor Blaney standing there all by hisself. I guess no one wants to associate with a Toyoter

i dont know, vickers seems to have alot of friends. then again he's the #1 toyota right now i think.

I like TNT's coverage and was not a fan of TNT/NBC in the past (I guess it was just BP I couldn't stand the last few years).
It is so going to rain again! :(

Evernham is telling Kahne that rain is on the way. Says it's probably 15 minutes away. We're still over 40 laps from halfway, so it's anyone's guess as to whether or not we'll get the race in. Watch for some wild racing these next 40+ laps.

NASCAR IS GOING TO GIVE JEFF THIS WIN.

HOW CONVENIENT THAT THE CAUTION COMES OUT AS RYAN NEWMAN IS ATTEMPTING THE PASS FOR THE LEAD.

This is bull...

Why didn't NASCAR throw the yellow when Johnson's tire went down?

Why did NASCAR throw the yellow the SPLIT SECOND Newman was going to make the pass?

NASCAR gave another one away.

Im tellin you man, this is turning into worse than WWF or whatever the hell it is.

that's too funny! :D I think there are definitely times NASCAR is like WWF.
I think they should have thrwn the caution for Johnson's the tire since they threw it for Robby's tire. I don't question them throwing it when they did, it was raining hard back there, but that's JMO and I totally see your point.

From Nascar- Happy Early Father's Day Mr. Gordon! We decided to give this one to you.

Sincerely,
Nascar

Sometimes things go like you like, and sometimes they don't. If you are that upset with the series, why continue to make yourself so miserable by watching it? There have always been controversey in the sport and it will always have it.

Congrats to Jeffy and crew.

It is good to see strategy in a race once in a while, not to mean that there isn't always some strategy.

Congrats to Jeff and his crew, especially Steve.

But they could've let Ryan and Jeff race back - like Mark and Kevin at Daytona.

And once again I'm consistent, NASCAR's not. They shouldn't be giving races away like this.

They shouldn't have run this race today in the first place.

A man has got to do what a man has got to do. Way to go driver and crew of the DuPont Chevrolet.

I dont sweat it. Doesnt affect me in any way. So Im far from miserable.

I watch it because Im a fan and its decent TV entertainment on a Sunday afternoon when you wanna just chill out around the house.

Its more annoying or frustrating than anything, seeing how Nascar is ruining the sport by their blatant rigged outcomes. Kinda like the same annoying or frustrating of seeing people still supporting Bush.

You cant tell me that that yellow flag was rigged. The last possible second Gordon had the lead, Newman was already in the act of passing, would have passed, and pulled away since Gordon has stated over the radio that his tires were done. And at that last possible second, Nascar waved the yellow.

Nascar gave this win to Jeff Gordon, plain and simple.

It's a shame for Jeff Gordon because his career is becoming tainted by these type of finishes.

I;ve seen Jeff wreck guys to win, but I've mostly seen him win fairly legitamate races.

Excluding Daytona, Vegas, Atlanta, Bristol, and Charlotte, I don't think they've run a fair race this year.

Then they can reschedule.

Just look at the inconsistencies:

Robby Gordon blows a left front tire, throws debris all over the track, caution.

Jimmie Johnson blows a left front tire, throws debris all over the track, no caution.

Drivers stated it was raining hard the lap prior the yellow was thrown, why not throw it then?

Then for them to throw it while Newman is in the act of passing?

Its rigged, plain and simple.

That was a very controversial race. The cautions were definitely messed up today, and the end result is very questionable as well.

If they had thrown it when you wanted them to, and yes Ryan said it was raining the lap before, then Jeff would have won. According to you the driver won that you think should have won. If they had allowed the drivers to race in the rain until someone passed Jeff then you've got a conspiracy. What are you crying about? At least be consistent...

This is what I did.

Why couldnt they throw it the lap before then?

If Nascar is gonna race then let them race, but dont throw the caution the second the leader is getting passed.

That's the point. They aren't going to let them race in the rain. But they have to be sure. When Edwards was up front he was saying it was raining for 3 laps. Just like drivers always see debris when they need a caution.

Remember the year they tried to start the Winston in the rain?

They should have called it when the rain started, not a few laps afterwards.

The win was because Jeff was saved by the yellow. Its an asterisk win.

From what I saw Nascar was trying to hold off on throwing the yellow for Robby Gordon hoping he would get back to the pits. but when I saw a major chunk of tire fly out onto the track they had to go yellow. From what I saw Johnson's similar problem didn't toss a major piece of the tire out on the track.
Don't get me wrong I'm not defending Nascar I'm just telling what I saw.
I still don't think Nascar made the right call at Daytona and they had plenty of time to finish that one.
Just my opinion

I sure saw something come from Jimmies car...don't know if it was rubber or metal, but something flew from it.

And it hasn't been that long since a lot of you were crying about Nascar throwing debris cautions. It sure looks like when an HMS car wins some really get their panties in a wad and look for some reason why that driver shouldn't have won.
Then again it's hard to find a race that an HMS car hasn't won. Maybe some just don't like the success they're having this year. Jeff - 4, Jimmie - 4, Kyle - 1 and Mears - 1.

Quote by Newman

Although Newman would have liked the opportunity to race Gordon under green flag conditions, he believed NASCAR made the right call.

"It was raining on me the lap before the and when I came back around, it was raining even harder," Newman said. "It was pouring at that point. It's all about safety. There's no wrong part about that.

"They were in a situation, track position-wise to stay out — get some clean air and do what they could. They did what they needed to do and their car was still fast enough to stay out front even when their car was out of sequence. Obviously, we were just four feet short."
