Jaws just claimed that there's 5 gallons of oil in those race cars. Surely that's not accurate, is it?

If not 5 full gallons pretty close to it. We ran a accumulater at one point in time and we carried just over 2.5 gallons of oil and that was a 4 banger. That oil tank behind the seat is good sized.

That's about right. The oil tank is behind the driver or towards the back of the car on the left side. The oil pump keeps it circulating.

Right on. I just thought it odd as my V8 truck holds about 1.5 gallons but that's not exactly a racing vehicle

Probably is. Most of it is in the sump, lines and cooler at any given time.

The new raceview qualifying on trackpass that they started last week is absolutely great especially with the couple of tweaks they did. The network should have a mute Waltrip only button so I never have to listen to the brothers Waltrip again.
