This race is televised. SPEED's Same Day Delay broadcast airs Saturday at 4pm and 11pm. Green flag is at 1pm. ARCA Nation will have pre-race coverage and live audio coverage from the ARCA Radio Network.

A very impressive entry list: Brian Silas, Robb Brent (who had a great run last August), Alli Owens (who had a top 10 run last June before getting wrecked by a lapped car), Joey "Sliced Bread" Logano, Matt Merrell, Frank Kimmel (who had a serious accident last August), Chase Mattioli, Patrick Sheltra and Gabi DiCarlo (who had one of her best career finishes last August).

I talked to him about the Pocono race last week at the USAR Hampton Virginia 250. Here's a good race preview.

Who's your pick to win?

DB's not racing :( so I'll be rootin' for Frank Kimmel and James Harvey Hylton.

DB will be there... I wanna see the 48 get a top 20 this week. :beerbang:

For whatever reason DB is usually one of the last too show up on the entry lists. I know he keeps saying he is about done. As many hours as he puts in in a cross country 18 wheeler just too keep the ARCA thing going is nothing but guts, determination and almost crazy. Looking at him you can tell he is a tired man. Oh he can still drive a racecar for sure and I hope he never leaves. At some point you hate seeing anybody at that age run himself ragged.

I always root for Kimmel and Hylton. Not that I think Hylton will ever win a race again. Hey, speaking of Pocono, I notice there is no autograph session scheduled for either race (I was thinking of going to August). Do they ever have an autograph session there? I was there 4 or 5 years ago, but showed up at the last minute. I thought autograph sessions were pretty much the norm in ARCA. I have a 9 yr. old, and he really likes that.

I imagine if you get a garage pass, you'll be able to get autographs. Maybe they don't have an Autograph Session because it's a NASCAR companion event.

BTW, I just threw together this race setup: http://www.racingforthewin.com/ARCA/arca-setup-pocono.html

I won't be there this year, DAMN ECONOMY!

I always root for Hylton and Basham. Kimmel's another one of my favorites... real nice guy every time I talk to him.

Question of the Week: What happened to Gabi DiCarlo? I noticed she was much different at Rockingham -- not engaging with friends or media or anyone; just totally different from the Gabi DiCarlo of last year. And I've heard other people make the same observation. Where's the outgoing, friendly Gabi and can the aliens that abducted her bring the real Gabi DiCarlo back?

I've been to Pocono three times, I don't think i've ever seen ARCA do an autograph session during a NASCAR weekend. Art Seeger was signing there in 2006 but that was just because his sponsor(some gutter guard) was set up there to promote. The only NASCAR track i've seen them have an autograph session at was Milwaukee mile in 2007. But ARCA was the main event that weekend, although they did not do a signing at the 2006 Milwaukee race.

I saw her at Daytona, she seemed as friendly as ever. I didn't see her at Rockingham, maybe she was just having a bad day?

She seemed nice at Cayuga last year. Gleefully handed me Great Clips coupons, even though there isn't a Great Clips within 200 miles of Cayuga. Called my boy and all the other kids "sweetie".

Oh yeah, I was looking at the full weekend schedule at Pocono's website. Duh. NASCAR practice is the reason there can't be an ARCA autograph session. :D

Ken Weaver quit

"Chase Miller, who won here in 2006 in the no. 4 Cunnigham Motorsports Dodge, replaces Ken Weaver as driver of the 4 car here this weekend.

"We had already been talking to Chase (Miller) about running this race," said Mark Gibson, General Manager for Cunningham Motorsports. "At that time, we were going to field three cars. But when Ken (Weaver) decided he didn't want to do this anymore, the opportunity presented itself for Chase to get in the 4 car. Good chance Chase will be in the car at Michigan too." "

Its too bad to see him quit now, he was very good in 2005 and 2006. I his luck would've changed.

Looks like we had a wash out for qualifying. It was Nice and sunny in the whole Northeast today, except for the Pocono's I guess. The forecast looks good for tomorrow.
