I felt bad for Jaime. He's a nice kid and a good driver. He got taken out by a "field-filler" that was not even on the lead lap.
He'll do a lot better once he gets away from Ganassi.

If you saw what I saw Jamie got the whole thing going by going under the "field-filler and shoving him into another car. Has his past performance been so good that he will be better anywhere else? I doubt it.
 
well, the thing is that Jamie never blamed Raines...when I saw the video it looked like Jamie came up and Raines came down. Raines is far from a field filler, given the right equipment, I think he'd be a damn fine driver.
 
I agree with you about Raines...."field filler" is a bad term......Jamie isn't any flying demon himself....average Bush finish is 17.1..average Nextel finish 16.8...so don't believe he will do any better no matter where he is...and he did blame Raines over his radio but not in the interview.
 
he wasn't going to make it iether way, so it doesn't really matter if tony raines took him out or not. he had newman in front of him the whole day and he couldn't catch up so yeah there you go.

If you look back at the last 4 years that statement could apply to a lot of guys. Some haven't even done that good.
 
I dont understand why people say McMurray is the next great thing...he's lead 1 lap all season long.

I don't get it either..he's a below average driver..average finish 16.8...doesn't sound hot to me either.
 
after he won that race in the 40 car, my buddy was like "hes good, i think he will be at the top next year"

i said "naa i dont like him that much, looks to much like a surfer kid(lol) and wont do to much in cup)


looks like i was right for once.
 
I seem to Recall Raines doing very well recently in an unspondered car where he ran in the top 5 asnd 10 on several occassions. What was that car #?? It was a solid white car.
 
74 BACE race team...his crew chief is Rusty's crew chief now...Travis Carter? Is that it? I don't know. I've always felt that he'd be a great driver in a well funded car. He ran in the top five and ten, but only finished in the top ten once.

Guess I am confused now..thought Tony drove the 37..Glenn Darrow crew chief. Tony did well in the ASA (I think) and the All Pro Series...Busch was ok too...not so hot in cup........
