Possible Kurt Busch penalty?

They say they saw a "split track bar" in post race inspection. What advantage would splitting that possibly give? I would think it would be a minus.

I read it as NASCAR wants to see WHY the bar split, right now. As in, does it need to be a heavier material, or a flaw in design.
I'll wait before passing judgement.

The track bar split is the difference in height between the two ends of the bar. It can't be greater than three inches.

Rusty was once penalized for just having an illegal part in the garage, was never put on car and was never gonna be put on car.

He was also penalized for having a fiberglass roof flap instead of steel. The car had been the test mule for the roof flap idea, and when they were running short of cars it had been pulled from out back, forgetting it didn't have the final approved flaps.

Yeah, the only way it'll potentially affect Kurt is if it's somehow enough to knock him out of the top 30 come Chase time, or if we somehow get more than 16 winners and they end up being higher than him in points. Not sure where he's sitting in points right now, but both scenarios seem unlikely.
