Well the cool thing about the "Preakness" is that some horse has a chance to win the Triple Crown! But don't count on it this year again o_O

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"Bodemiester" is the real favorite in this race at 1 and 3/16ths mile (a bit shorter than the KY Derby).

Pimlico is a notoriously soft track (older and deeper dirt) - it makes it harder for the late chargers.

If I was betting my own money I'd bet on Bode to win - but since I'm not - I'll take "Creative Cause"...with "Bodemiester" in second.

I think "I'll have Another" ran the race of his life in the Derby and will come in middle of the pack at best - he won't get the "grab" at Pimlico. If you're picking a trifecta I'd go Creative Cause..Bode..Zetterholm (fresh).

Post Horse Jockey Odds

1. Tiger Walk K. Desormeaux 20-1

2. Teeth of the Dog J. Bravo 20-1

3. Pretension J. Santiago 25-1

4. Zetterholm J. Alvarado 20-1

5. Went the Day Well J. Velazquez 8-1

6. Creative Cause J. Rosario 8-1

7. Bodemeister M. Smith 3-1

8. Daddy Nose Best J. Leparoux N/A

9. I'll Have Another M. Gutierre 3-1

10. Optimizer C. Nakatani 12-1

11. Cozzetti J. Lezcan 20-1

*Post positions according to NJ.com

Note: you may want to substitute "Optimizer" for Zetterholm since I was only taking him as a fresh horse.
Sis Boom Bah...Sis Boom Bah...FBS...Rah, Rah, RAH!!!!

Great weekend to be a sports freak. NASCAR, Indy, NBA, NHL, Strikeforce MMA, - and this.
If Chance doesn't win, It would still be cool to see Bodemiester do it so we can see the rubber match @ the Belmont Stakes.

Either way, it's gonna be good. Looking forward to it.

Now "Went the Day Well" seems to be the hot pick....should be a fun 2 minutes.

Not even close - the Preakness > the NASCAR All-Star race.
Time to circle June 9th on your calendars, horse racing fans.
