Kind of a pointless/crapshoot/premature thread, but I'm tired of waiting for the '14 season to finally get here. So, for the sake of discussion, I'm going to predict the 2014 standings...

1) Jeff Gordon (3 wins)
2) Kyle Busch (4)
3) Tony Stewart (3)
4) Jimmie Johnson (4)
5) Brad Keselowski (2)
6) Matt Kenseth (3)
7) Greg Biffle (3)
8) Kasey Kahne (2)
9) Carl Edwards (2)
10) Jamie McMurray (1)
11) Kevin Harvick (0)
12) Joey Logano (1)

No driver has more than 4 wins next year. Junior, Kurt, and Bowyer barely miss the chase. Stewart and Keselowski rebound. McMurray and Larson both win a race. Johnson and Kenseth start off the year strong once again, but have their problems in the Chase. And yes, Gordon finally wins his fifth title.

I honestly think Gordon will have a very strong year, and Kyle Busch is going to win a title one of these days, it's just a matter of when. I'm having the most trouble trying to decide who will be the strongest in the SHR camp. One of those guys will be a serious threat, I'm just not sure who.

What do y'all think?

With so many changes it is a tough year to predict... but here goes nothing:

1. Keselowski (3) - Bounce back year
2. Kyle Busch (6) - Clearly, his best season to date
3. Johnson (4) - Uncharacteristically weak chase (weak for these guys)
4. Gordon (1) - Another close but no cigar
5. Kenseth (3) - Back to earth type season but still one of the strongest teams
6. Stewart (2) - Rough start, but strong finish to season
7. Harvick (1) - Respectable season but still trying to find themselves
8. Edwards (1) - Not comfortable with Roush - Could see this being much better
9. Hamlin (2) - Solid season, grabs the Poconos
10. Logano (2) - Continues to get better, setting up to be a possible contender in 15'
11. Jr. (0) - Disappointing yr after the promising 13' season
12. Kahne (1) - See Jr.

MWR has a downer year and all miss the chase. Truex is close and Ku. Busch really struggles early but comes on late. VERY tempted to throw Dillon in the mix.... his car has finished 3rd in pts 3 of last 4 years and he is known to take care of his stuff so who knows!

Okay so I put Joey a bit higher than some might... what else can u expect? Other than that I think its pretty good.

Maybe switch Joey with Kurt and switch Tony an Harvick..

Even if it is logano slanted, at least you make a reasonable, though out statement of your own and that's a heck of a lot more than some will do.

However, I think Hamlin may have you crying in your beer more than a few times in 2014 ;)

Yeah Im sure he'll get a couple.. but I'd be willing to bet Joey does better

You have finally admitted that Kyle is better than Joey  glad to see it
No.. just more experienced.. and I dont like JJ lol.. Bowyer finished ahead of Jimmie in 2012... so does that mean he's better than him? Nope lol.. You dont have to be better to have a better season..

So............ does experience make a driver better :einstein:
Jimmie Johnson had 3 wins his rookie year and was a legit threat for the title. He's now a 6 time champion out if his 12 seasons in NASCAR.

Ryan Newman who also started in 2002 scored one points victory (he won the Winston as well) and had a decent year. He's now a 0 time champion out of his 12 seasons in NASCAR and has bounced from team to team to team.

A cool head, team work, patience, talent and a Golden Horseshoe makes a driver better.
