Wednesday on HBO PPV! Anybody know when us poor folks can tune in somewhere and watch the race?
Betsy:rolleyes:

SPEED usually replays it about 4-6 weeks after they run the race. I think there may be somewhere online to see it.

I'm not sure if I'll get it this year or not. Since they stopped offering the PPV in HD, I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth since the PQ is usually so-so.

I found this:
Prelude to the Dream Join SPEED for the re-air of this year’s HBO Pay-Per-View event, Prelude to the Dream.
A supernova of racing talent descended upon the Field of Dreams that is Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on September 9th at the fifth annual Old Spice Prelude to the Dream. And for those that were not lucky enough to grab a seat for the dirt late model race featuring over 25 world renowned drivers as they battled for dirt supremacy, SPEED is serving up the Prelude to the Dream Re-Air.
The all-star race features such racing icons as Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin, Denny Hamlin, Bobby Labonte and more. All will pilot 2,300-pound dirt late model stock cars capable of putting out over 800 horsepower.

But no date was attached.

Betsy, last year it was NOT replayed on SPEED at all. It was pay or no see.

I haven't heard if it will be replayed this year.

I did see it on Speed or somewhere afterwards. I came home and dad was watching it, or i came across it while watching tv

Im wondering if Joey will junk another one of Chris Wall's and Smokes racecars. He was 2 for 2 last year.

Sucks that Robby Gordon is not in this years.

From Jayski's

For those who aren't able to join the expected 20,000 fans at Eldora Speedway for Wednesday night's race, the only place they'll be able to catch it is via the HBO Pay-Per-View® telecast. The live, commercial-free telecast will begin at 7 p.m. EDT (4 p.m. PDT) with an immediate replay. There will be NO free delayed airings of the event on any outlet.(6-6-2010)

Well, it probably would be poor advertising if they were to say 'if you wait a month, you can see it on Speed'. I think after all is said and done and the money is made, it'll be on Speed just as it always has been.

Actually, it was re-broadcast on SPEED. I still have it on my DVR. When I get home tonight I'll check the date on it, and see how long after it was shown on SPEED.

It was later in the year than normal, though. Like 3-4 months later.

I refuse to pay to see a race on TV unless its female super models racing bicycles in slow motion naked. So I'll wait for a few months.

I hear ya. That being said though, I would have never given him a thought of winning on dirt against some of those other shoes. I don't really know his background of that type of racing. Other than the Prelude, does he ever do appearances at other dirt tracks like some of the other Cup drivers?

He's raced off road trucks
