Fred was one of the best ---- had he not quit so early, I think he was championship material

and to think he nearly went back to Ill. to go back to work as a carpenter..... There were few smoother or better. But after Fireball's death and his own near fatal wreck, he wasn't the same......but still better than most..... Another driver that SHOULD have been on the ballot imo.....
