May have been the config for the web server software we switched to in order to better handle high-volume load, which happens every few months as one of the games on this server enters a new age and everybody scrambles to play it at the same time. I think I managed to prevent that particular problem (half page loads) but it still may occasionally be slow due to the activity. Our hardware just isn't ideal for it, unfortunately any sort of upgrade of it will be a more expensive undertaking than we can handle in the foreseeable future.
