Report: Dog Tweeting Collar Coming Soon

(NewsCore) – Dogs are about to start tweeting as well as barking, the website Consumerist reported Monday.
Mattel plans to introduce Puppy Tweets, a collar that detects when your pooch moves or makes a sound, this northern hemisphere summer.
The collar then randomly selects one of 500 pre-written tweets to post to Twitter, assuming the dog is within a reasonable distance of your computer.
Examples cited by the site include: “I finally caught that tail I’ve been chasing, and . . . OOUUUCHH!” and “I bark because I miss you. There, I said it. Now hurry home.”
The innovation joins a host of pet-related social networking projects such as Dogbook - a Facebook group linking owners and offering to "find nearby parks or pet friends" and "update your dog's status".
