Ok, I remember the movie they showed at Daytona USA before they replaced it with the Imax movie. It was so much better and geared towards the old loyal fans. My question is, does anybody know if there is a copy out there? The Imax movie is for the new fans and teaches them about nascar. It's good but the old one gave you goose bumps throughout. Thanks and the person who comes up with a copy for me will win an autograghed picture of me in my inflatable ballerina costume. Thanks, Tim

bump! Where you been hiding? Happy to see you.

I know what you mean about the old movie --- I loved it. Good luck on your hunt. Sure wish I could help.

Have you checked YouTube?

Either way, I have about 30 documentaries about NASCAR at my place.

Give me a few more details about this and I'll see if I can dredge it up.

Unfortunately, I have the memory of an ..... whatever. I only remember how disappointed I was when I took my kids to see it and it was changed. I'm thinking about 1997. It was only shown at Daytona usa at that point. Thanks, that autograghed picture seems to be a big motivation for ya. lol

I've found, right off the bat, "The Daytona Experience" from 1991 (officially licensed NASCAR video) and "Seven Days in February" from 2000.

Those two are specifically about Daytona.

Alright hgere comes the list of what I've found:
NASCAR 2001 in Review (Promotional, 2001)
NASCAR: Who are the top ten drivers of all time? (60 minutes, 1991)
"Racing: The Music Video" (30 minutes, 1991)
BASCAR: Great Races (39 minutes, 1991)
NASCAR FULL ACCESS: Winston Cup 2000 year in review (promotional, 2000)
NASCAR FULL ACCESS: Behind The Scenes (promotional, 2000)
NASCAR '93 Year in Review (ESPN, 70 minutes, 1993)
NASCAR '94 Greatest Highlights (ESPN, 70 minutes, 1994)
NASCAR Winston Cup Series '95 Greatest Highlights (ESPN, 70 minutes)
NASCAR '96 Greatest Highlights (70 minutes, 1996)
NASCAR: The NASCAR Fantasy, NASCAR Legends Race, Women Behind the Wheel (1991, 60 minutes)
NASCAR: The Daytona Experience (60 minutes, 1991)

Now... on to the DVDs :XXROFL:
ESPN Ultimate NASCAR: 100 Defining Moments (2007, 52 minutes)
NASCAR Thrills (NASCAR Images, 2005)
Great Moments in the history of NASCAR (2004, 90 minutes)
24x24: Wide Open with Jeff Gordon (TNT Sports, 2007, HD)
Dust to Glory (IFC Films, 97 minutes, 2005, HD)
NASCAR 2005 Chase for the Championship (NASCAR Images, 60 minutes, HD)
NASCAR 3D: The Imax Experience (2004, HD)
3: The Dale Earnhardt Movie (ESPN, 2004, HD)

In digital format: :XXROFL:

Seven Days in February (30 minutes, 2000)
Great Moments in Winston Cup History (NASCAR, TNN, 30 minutes)
Dale - narrarated by Paul Newman (CMT, 90 minutes)

That's all I could find... I'm sure I've got more somewhere though. :lol2:

Oops... forgot one:

Building Daytona - Dave Despain reports (SPEED, 60 minutes)

It sounds like the Daytona Experience from 1991 might be the closest. I think it was still playing in 1998 when I went to the postponed Pepsi 400 due to the fires. Can you tell if it ever played at the special theater in Daytona USA?
I would imagine it would be 15 to 20 minutes long.

I don't know.

I'll go over to Daytona USA while I'm down in Daytona and see if I can dredge anything up.

NASCAR 3D: The IMAX Experience looks amazing on my new HDTV.

I appreciate your efforts but, I don't think this particular movie is out there anywhere. I may order the 1991 "The Daytona Experience" anyway just to see if maybe it has it on there. I'll then convert it to dvd.

I think in appreciation for us letting you post here (especially since YOU KNOW PEOPLE) you should start raffling off that video collection for us little people who only know people who apparently, aren't very important. :D Show some good will Mr. Connected!! Or...we could take a vote and see if you can only post to "your people" and leave us peons in peace. LMAO :p :lol2:
