Question about the possibilites of a darlington rainout

i know that if they get a rain out on race day they race the next day, but if the cup race on saturday is rained out would they race it the next day even though it is Mother's Day?? Just wondering and could not find the answer so i was wondering what u think they would do?? Just incase i have to take an extra day off work to be there.
 
My guess is they would race the next day. They don't have another open weekend until late July.
 
Up top is a thread that has the cameras from the track. last I looked, it was sunny and bright.

I don't know but they could race Monday. Remember the next race is the All Star race in Charlotte on Saturday so there is not a travel issue.
I'll be in Charlotte both weekends.
Oh, and he's asking about Darlington and I think the cams at the top of the board are Richmond.
 
i dont no what nascar would do but i think if it rained they should wait till monday, i mean they take off for a lot of other holliday's so why not mother's day???
 
I think it would be silly for the fans, drivers and crews to just sit there for a whole day (Sunday) doing nothing. My bet is they race it Sunday afternoon. My hope is that the rain stays away and this becomes a non-issue. I have tickets for Darlington and would rather not have to drive down there twice.
 
Its in Darlington! Most of them live near Charlotte. What's that, just over an hours drive. I doubt many would sit there doing nothing. They would go home to be with their families for Mother's Day and then come back Monday. The cars would be impounded so a few officials would have to stay behind.

Mother's Day is not a holiday.
