i though if your tires where flat nascar would give ya an exter set?.......robby's were most likly flat (or flat sported relly bad and going flat) <_<

I think they said he "tried to flatten" them . I tried to look for some info on it last night but I didn't find any. So, they were gonna punish him, hence the reason he just parked it.

i seen him get spun, sliding on the track gives ya flat tires most the time......(was n the phone when it happand so i really dont know what happand)

One is allowed only 3 sets of tires for green flag pit stops, but many make deals with other teams for extra tires to be used under caution laps, I think.

i have been told 3 sets for the whole weekend......but after that if you got a flat you can replace that tire only.

three sets under caution, you could change more under green.

Robby was wanting another set and was out of his alloted 3 sets. He was deliberately trying to flatten his front tires to get an additional set of tires......evidently NASCAR caught on and was going to penalize him. He took the high road and parked it!!

We'll see if he gets penalized anyway next week..............probably about Tuesday.

NASCAR has relaxed that 3 set rule to account for safety---he got spun by someone else and flatspotted the tires---I'd say racing on flatspotted tires is a safety concern.

I don't particularly like Robbie---but he got shafted by NASCAR. He only tried to flatten the tires after NASCAR refused the safety request.

Just another incident where King Mike is not consistant----because of too many rules---they can't keep up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Robby Gordon deliberately tried to flatten the tires before he pitted the first time. If it weren't for that NASCAR may have let him get a set for safety reasons. IMO B)
