I am just curious and I do believe several other members are too as to why SilverRam is allowed to continue posting here. Someone said it was so he could stir the pot a little, that maybe people thought this place was getting to quiet. Thats fine but are post like this from him really necessary?

I just don't think in the past this would have been tolerated.
It's one thing to kid around and generate friendly debates it's another to bring such negativity to the board.
And to the other members if you agree with me please don't just read this post, say something, beacuse I really don't think I am alone on this issue.

this is being handled, i appologize that a fellow member has decided to test us out in such ways.
 
It is not something which is approved of by any of the mods, and proper notices have sent and warnings issued.

I have been one who counseled patience with this poster, as I would with any other. There is always the chance that some positive contributions might be in the offing. Alas. that appears not to be the case. Appropriate action will be taken.

I would also continue to counsel, as I have in the past, that replies to and counter insults only feed the flames.

At this point it appears that for myself I must abandon the hope that this one could become a positive contribution to the board from insights and experiences in the sport of racing. Seems the agenda is to contribute only negatively. It is a shame, but there it is.
 
Thank you both for the response. The thing is the poster seems to be intellignet and have some good insight into racing, like they say it's all in present.

His constant posting about religion really gets me. It's like he is always joking about it and it ain't a joke.

Well, it's too late for me to edit this...but what I was trying to say, wea that he has made soem good points but it's how he presents them. That's what I get for trying to do a million things at once. Make more sense? ^_^
 
I would have to say some of his post are very good. But most are worthless. Why come on a board and call a drvier gay like he does Jeff Gordon and T. Stewart. Because he knows Gordon and Stewarts fans are going to get angry . And will take up for their driver.
 
Although we let him express his opinion, SilverRam just flooded the forum with hundreds of Kurt Busch hating threads and many members got tired of it and so did I, when you do that there's going to be serious repricussions coming your way. I dont know where he came from, he said he was 42 years old, he sure didnt act like it, doesnt take a psychologist to know that. SilverRam might have some knowledge of racing and I respect him for that, but before he can become an accepted member of this community which will probably take a long time he just needs to watch his words.

Last night wasnt an issue of him and a personal attack against me but when he calls Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch and a bunch of others "fags" then there's a problem with that too. Theres no member on this forum that didnt lock horns with him at one point, that's when we all had it; now I had some problems with him when he kept typing Kurt Busch hating threads but not as much as now when he turns his emphasis on attacking the members of this forum. None of us take that kinda malarkey (sorry I cant speak french or type it ;) ).

Sigh, hopefully we can put this behind us and move on. Hopefully peace suffices once again at Racing-Forums.com
 
Sorry DeeDee I'm also a little late, but I'm glad you stood up and said something. The guy has been on my bad side since day one. I even thought once about leaving the forum until something was done to this guy. There is no reason while he should come on here and talk to the members the way he does. So he doesn't like Busch, neither do I but I know Kurt has fans on here and you have to have respect for their feelings. If someone came on downing Ward like he was Kurt, I would leave this place and not even look back. I just hope he didn't succeed in running anybody off. Maybe we can make this forum fun again if we could just get rid of the bad apple. :rolleyes:
 
After about 2 posts like the ones shown as examples, he would have been history if it was up to me.
