R.I.P Charley Pride



^ probably not PC for today's radio, but I loved the way Charley did this Hank Williams song
 
RIP Mr. Pride, what an inspiring and singular figure he was. In addition to his trailblazing in country music, his accomplishments as a Negro Leagues All-Star pitcher should be remembered as well.

 
I saw him in concert at the old Tampa Florida Fair Grounds. He was on stage in the middle of the front stretch of the 1/2 mile clay dirt track.

Great musician may he rest in peace.

PS: It does not matter now what you pass away from, at this time in history, it will always be listed as Covid 19 no matter what.
