One of my all-time favorite actors. They don't make them like him, anymore.

I loved him the most in noirs like The Bad and The Beautiful and Ace in the Hole. His intensity and presence were unmatched. But there's so much more. Paths of Glory is incredible. He was a genuine screen legend and it is fortunate for all of those close to him that he lived to 103.
