It’s just Mikey and Fox fatigue, the grid walk can be so good but then he’s awkward like when he told Chase his pants are lose and Chase just left him hanging, funny but it’s like comeon dude these fellas are getting to race. I personally think he’s good on the Truck broadcasts, just last night he had the cartoon character turned up a bit more than normal. He was wearing a bad ass jacket though, that had all kinds of drip.
Trust me, I understand, it sometimes can be a little bit much. I get that. I also miss a lot of that as I normally either A. Tune in just as it's about green flag time or B. Watch late because I watch the races with my dad, so we normally watch the command
then fast forward to the race. So i don't see nearly as much Mikey as others do, so could be why I enjoy him.
I sometimes wish I could talk to these drivers when they say crap like this. To him, that's a gimmick(which yes it is, I agree). I would suggest to him that the playoffs are also a gimmick, which him winning three Championships from, he would disagree with it, and say "everyone's playing by the same rules." CORRECT! Just like everyone in the All Star Race, was playing by the same rules. I also would ask him the difference between him running Bell up into the wall, and Bell doing the same thing. None of the announcers ever want to ask the drivers these questions.
Joey's a very competitive guy, so I understand the frustration. That doesn't mean he's right. His comments were at the heat of the moment. Bell won fair and square.
I think the obvious is that Logano didn't say in his rant was the fact that Paul Wolfe made a call that lost Joey his chance to win the race. Wolfe gambled that more cars would stay out along with Blaney and Logano keeping Logano out front. Blaney blows the restart and is no help, Bell gets a hell of a restart and is right on Logano with his 4 fresh tires. At that time looking in the mirror that call from Wolfe had to be part if not all of Logano's frustration. Wolfe gave Logano a knife in a gunfight.
Mikey should just be allowed to head off have fun and run his brewery. He seems like a nice enough guy.
