i know this isnt really going to hurt big time organizations "nascar, indy irl, cart, nhra " but all the smaller tracks it will help

hello all,

i need some info and imput into finding out if there are any organizations or resources that one can look into about race tracks being shut down..

it looks as if e-town has lost a racing class this season due to noise restrictions and to me that sounds like the begining of the end of some tracks.. sounds as if they have found a slow way of choking out racing without making a big fuss over it..

i was doing a search and have come across a few tracks having the strangle hold on them due to noise restrictions or when business oppertunities come about to build a new track they get shot down..

well if anyone knows if there are any resources on this matter or an org. that works on helping this problem please drop me a line..

e-town lost fun ford weekend .. whats next nhra?

thats the other issue why did they lose ffw at there track due to a noise restriction on saturdays when nhra has qualifying friday and "saturday" and 99% of nhra vehicles arent muffled..

well sorry about the rant but id like to try and find an organization or look into starting one to help preserve our lifestyle..

this isnt just happening with drag strips but autocross and circle tracks and such..if anyone would like to help drop me an email

were thinking about getting a non-profit together to help support our cause

thanks for your time and patients

actually, NHRA aleady has the problem. Most cities make them have a curfew hour where no racing can be done, and all the super and street classes already have mufflers required (or in other words, the sportsman classes).
