R.E. has introduced a new website and is offering 25% off of purchases and free shipping for the weekend, for anyone needing new equipment or thinking of giving R.E. goodies for a gift this season.
Just passing along the info...

Have scanners gotten better? I bought one in '06 and is glitchy as hell.

Thanks Bobby. I've been thinking of buying a set.

I've never had a problem with mine. I got the RE58 headset, too, nice quality headset.
I don't know if it's listed on the website but type in coupon code "NEWSITE" on the shopping cart screen. (I got this info in an email)

Thanks for the heads up on that. Been thinking of upgrading. The newer stuff is sweet. Programs itself at the track by just standing near one of their haulers.

Mine has trouble accepting new programmed frequencies or scanning between them. I'm sure the fact that I always try to program mine during driver introductions after 2-3 pre-race beers doesn't help.

Prolly just be easier to hand it over at the track and give 'em the $5. Frequencies normally don't change very much. I've had the same frequencies in mine for a while.

I just sent 8 radios and 8 headsets to them to be reconditioned for next year.
