Had my 1st race of the year back a few weeks ago. Just got the car and motor in time to get it running for the 1st night, the set up sucked and i think i now know why.
I started outside the front row for the heat and when i got in the gas the car wanted to go towards the wall. It was undriveable, one of the worst handling cars i have ever drove. I worked my way back up to 3rd after falling to 6th or so, and well over a strightaway down behind that car. I went to the bottom and could get it driving better, i was a car lenght behind 2nd at the line.
The feature the same thing the car would not handle, i fell way back but got the the bottom and was having a race for 5th when something in the rearend broke and ending my night.
the car has a Winters quick change in it, the Ring gear and pinion were junked, the pinion teeth here flat, nothing was left. After looking at the center section of the rearend we noticed it was cracked and believe that led to the problems.
I have the parts to fix it now, but i now have got to feel better before working on it.
Next race is May 3rd.
