Man I wish Ray had stayed with Jeff for the duration of his career, it would have been real interesting to see how I would have ended up in terms of Ray adjusting to The Chase, COT, the latest generation of car, the Playoffs and Stages

I think the sport was very different back then. It was a lot easier to have a way better car than other guys. I think jimmie is by far the better of the two. Jimmie did it with way more good cars to race against.

Jimmie is a great driver...yes...but if Jeff and Ray hadn't paved the way in the 90s with developing things like "modern" R&D, creating a good pit crew, and emphasizing the driver/crew chief relationship I don't think Jimmie would've been as successful as he was.
