Rain in the forecast for Richmond

I think MIS is the only race to be not affected by rain since Pocono.

Just glanced @ the National Weather Service forecast for Richmond. I only saw a 30% chance of T-Strms for Friday and no issues for Saturday. Plus, they have Sunday to fall back on.

Saturday is surrounded by rain forecasts. And 30% could turn into 60% in a hurry. At least it's not a 1.5 mile track. Those things take forever to dry.

It's looks good to go for both races.

The rain over the past couple of days associated with a stalled front and cut off upper level low will finally get moving thanks to Katia making a turn to the northeast and back out to see. With just the threat of a few lingering isolated showers on Friday morning the rest of the forecast looks dry. One could say we finally got the rain out of the way early so we can have a dry race weekend.

By the afternoon Friday we should see some clearing and be dry for qualifying and the Nationwide race with Saturday looking even better with no threat of rain and highs in the upper 80s.

Looks like the weather gods took to our liking for racing on saturday. Im happy now.
