I was going to call in for a day off at work tomorrow since this is a big race for the championship points - no matter when it is raced - but the forecast is rain through midnight Tues. I don't believe that but I'm not chancing a day off just to watch rain. Will call in if the race is Wednesday...:)

I hope to see a Tuesday night race. Hey, who knows may it could catch on and we could see more races in prime time? That would certainly free up some weekends. :D

The forecast is for 30% chance of showers.

I'm betting on there being a full race today.

Blowers running now. Slight mist at the track as of a few minutes ago. Probably will not start @ 11:00 as scheduled.

Pouring down rain in Central Florida and headed North!

rainy race weekends suck.
rainy holiday race weekends really suck.
rainy tuesday holiday race makeup days must really really suck.

have to feel for the fans who planned their vacations and travelled to atlanta for this labor day weekend. hope those that called in sick for work today get to see some racing.

Many went HOME yesterday

When they do get started I hope Nascar has a mandatory caution for tire wear.
There will be no rubber on track and it will be eating up tires for some teams, we don't need a wreck fest, driver need to use heads

They always have competition cautions after a track is rained green. Today should be no exception.

No official word yet but teams expecting a competition caution around lap 20 or so today.

I don't have a problem with the competition cautions that they use after a rain delay like this. But I do think it should be mandatory for all cars to stop, all cars to change all 4 tires. Seems like some always gamble, or take only two or whatever.
