I'd like to punch Mother Nature in the jaw.

Haven't been to a race in over a month and rain has prevented me from going to countless races this year. **** you, Mother Nature.

It was tough early on this year in the northeast. After a frigid winter some northern tracks had to cancel due to snow or it being too cold. Waterford's opener got pushed back 2 weeks due to rain. Stafford had a ridiculous amount of rainouts early on. It was at least 5 rainouts before July 4th. They had to push back their open modified show. They rescheduled a Whelen Tour race twice before the third date was finally dry. The NY dirt tracks weren't doing well either, but I don't have exact figures. Since July its been nice and dry.

And I know how you feel AML. Once I went to a race where there was a 10% chance of rain across the entire state. Well, we got all 10%. Last October on a double-header weekend Saturday and Sunday were supposed to be nice and dry. Saturday was great, I woke up Sunday and it was pouring. They were able to get going, but only ran 2 features before calling it off due to a persistent mist.

However, rain at a track gave me THE BEST rainbow I've ever seen. And the ironic thing? This track (Bethel Motor Speedway) is in the same town that the Woodstock festival occurred in.

I've been lucky, have been managing to get to more than 1 track every week(except this weekend i only made it to 1) for the past month with no rainouts. 2 Rain delays at 2 WoO races in Wisconsin but thats it. I usually have more rain problems in June every year I think..
