Rainfall fouling up Friday schedule

What's the deal? It seems like it rains every time there's a race in Michigan. Sure glad I don't live there.

The rain falling over Michigan International Speedway Friday is creating problems for Grand National and Winston Cup teams preparing for this weekend's racing.
Grand National practice was to have begun at 9 a.m., and Winston Cup practice at 11:20, but the track was too wet. Qualifying for both series, scheduled for Friday afternoon, also was in question.

We'll stay in touch with our guys at the track and pass along updates as soon as they become available. And if qualifying comes off Friday afternoon, we'll have all the news and lineups posted quicker than a lap at Bristol.

So stay trackside with us all weekend. We'll do all we can to keep you up to date and let you know how your favorite teams are doing.

Does anyone know what the time deadline would be before they go to the points for starting lineups?
