It seems like every team in the NFL has been rumored to move to Los Angeles at some point or another over the last couple decades. Now the St. Louis Rams are rumored to possibly return to LA, where they resided from 1946-1994. Rams owner Stan Kroenke just purchased a 60-acre plot of land in Inglewood, CA, which could potentially house a new stadium. Also, the Rams lease at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis is up after the 2014 season. So, this "move to LA" rumor may be legitimate.

:bsflag:. ESPN's been saying for years the Jaguars were going to LA.

In all seriousness, a year and a half isn't a whole lot of time to build a stadium. I'd like to see them play a season at the Rose Bowl while building the new stadium.

I imagine there would be some kind of deal like that. When the Oilers moved to Tennessee in 1997, they had to play the '97 season at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis and the '98 season at Vanderbilt until their stadium was ready for the 1999 season.

As for the teams that have been rumored to move to LA, the Seahawks, 49ers, Saints, Vikings, Jaguars, Raiders, Cardinals, Chargers, and now the Rams have all been rumored to move there at some point over the years.

What happens when Los Angeles ends up not caring about another NFL franchise?

I think the NFL is much happier having LA as a bargaining chip/threat in negotiations with cities when it comes to funding for new stadiums, renovations, etc. If a team actually does move there, they would lose that.

They'll always have London.

Sorry, that quote didn't work out the way it's supposed to. It would be easier if it was Paris.

As an LA area sports fan, I don't care if LA ever has a football team again. People in LA generally rep the Raiders and I really don't see that changing.

I guess I'm not very loyal to the town myself, hell I don't even like the place. I'm a huge Laker fan but that's where it ends. Other than that, ANAHEIM Angels Baseball and The Chargers.

I've said for years that Jacksonville to LA was never an option and St. Louis or Minnesota were more likely. Fact of the matter is, the NFL and an NFL franchise is not going to polarize a very loyal fanbase to go to the most fairweather sports market in the country, if not the world. St. Louis isn't exactly known for having a proud, loyal fanbase. Jacksonville is.
