This is a series I am starting on here. In this series, I will rant rhetorically about Nascar, much like the title says. Let's go.

Austin Dillon has really impressed me this year, both in Cup and Nationwide. He had a great run at Michigan and Daytona in the Cup side, and in the Nationwide side he's shown to be the strongest team for about 2 months now, just without the luck on his side he needs to win.

I had really high expectations for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. this year, and he's kind of disappointed. However, I do not think this is necessarily his fault. He had Kansas in the bag had it not been for that caution coming out during green flag stops. He was a factor all day at Talladega. I think that him not being competitive for wins comes back to two things. One, Scott Graves is his crew chief and Mike Kelley isn't. Roush should have kept them together and sent Scott Graves to the Nationwide series to be Trevor Bayne's crew chief. The second thing is he's running Carl Edwards' 2012 chassis, the same ones that Edwards himself couldn't get the job done with.

Kyle Larson has really impressed me. He's getting better and better with each race and I won't be surprised if he competes for the Nationwide championship.

Jimmie Johnson has to be cheating. There's no way a team can literally have the best car every single week and not be doing something illegal.

Kevin Harvick is my pick to win the 2013 championship for RCR. That'd be a twist, wouldn't it?

I however, would not be surprised to see Kurt Busch compete for the championship. He's constantly one of the best cars on the racetrack. I hope he stays at Furniture Row after this season.

Ryan Newman should go back down to the Nationwide series and learn to to drive like a jackass.

I hope Turner-Scott Motorsports is buying Phoenix Racing. I've always wanted to see them in Cup and they could be a force to be reckoned with in two or three years.

Mark my words, in 10 years Michael Waltrip will have the most powerful team in Nascar. He's the youngest owner other than Smoke, and he runs a better team than Stewart does. He wasn't the best driver, but wow is he a good owner.

Joey Logano has been great this season. These last two weeks have killed his run, but he was competing for wins all the time. Fontana and Kentucky come to mind right away.

Denny Hamlin needs to just have surgery. Even if he had raced those three races he missed and gotten max points, he'd be at best 20th in points off the top of my head. He just needs to let Vickers/Sadler take over his seat.

If Brian Vickers doesn't get sponsorship from Aaron's next year, it'd be ridiculous. If he drives next year like he's been doing these last two years, don't be surprised to see him as your 2014 Champion.

Kyle Busch does an amazing job being the sport's top villain. He embraces the role and plays it to perfection.

That is all for this round of rants.

.

Yeah the 2 things are is that his nuts are in Danica's car.

Wow did you make this post around 2008 and we are now just seeing it posted?

You're really off based, no offense but you really are.

You can go ahead and add the King, the Intimidator and Wonder boy to the list of cheating because they won far too much in their hay day.

Kurt Busch cant even finish races and you somehow think he can compete for a championship this year? I mean, he races good but finishes poor.

And just out of curiosity how do you figure Michal Waltrip will have the most powerful team in NASCAR in however many years? What brought you to that conclusion?

Vickers is also driving for MWR and will be driving the 55 car full time next year so why would he take Hamlin's seat when he's doing so much better at MWR?

Vickers will most likely stay where he's at and Busch has been rumored to go to Hass.

I'm assuming you're new to the Sport and have no clue of what's happening around it.

Oh and BTW Kyle Busch has since simmered down and is actually maturing now.

Hahahaha new to the sport. No. I've been watching since I was born. You really think you know something, don't you? Let me clarify. Johnson has never been like this. Ever. He has never had the absolute best car with no hopes of competition for 6 or 7 races in a row. It's one thing to have a dominant car, it's another thing to have a car so dominant every week that nobody can even run with you.

Kurt Busch has been one of the STRONGEST teams. I never said he was the luckiest. If he can start finishing races where he runs, watch out.

Maybe the fact that the current owners on top won't be leading their teams in ten years and Waltrip just keeps getting stronger and he's about 20-30 years younger than the current top owners. MWR has already surpassed RCR, SHR, and is right on par with RFR.

I didn't say Vickers wouldn't be with the #55? If anything, I said the opposite. The only thing is sponsorship.

Right, Busch is going to SHR when Stewart publicly stated they were NOT going to four teams and that's the exact reason why Newman isn't coming back. Smart prediction, genius.

Kyle Busch maturing is exactly how he's become so good at being the villain. He's figured out the fine line between being a villain and being an idiot.

I'm assuming you're new to the sport and you don't know what's going on my friend.

No need to get all defensive.

It was just an observation so just relax.

So Jimmie has never had the best car in a race but he wins anyway? Umm ok

Compare to drivers of the past like Richard, Earnhardt and Gordon, Johnson barely measures up in terms of winning poles, leading laps and winning races like those guys used to do.

You couldn't find Richard off the top 5 running order on any given weekend. Now that's total dominance.

And these organizations that are on top now wont just suddenly tumble down because the owner decides to retire, it doesn't work like that. Thse organizations are run structurally and the personnel are homegrowned. Do you think that when Rick Hendrick retires that some out of towner will just come in and take over? That's laughable guy.

Its not all equipment. You also need a good driver.

You can shell out all the money in the world but if the driver isn't good you're stuck.

And how in the world has Michael Waltrip Racing surpassed Richard Childress Racing and Stewart Hass? RCR only has 100+ wins as an organization and SHR won a title already. MWR has just a handul of wins. Hardly surpassing an already established organization like the ones mentioned above.

No, I said Johnson always has the best car every week.

I'm not saying they will. However, MWR will surpass them. Just a prediction.

I'm aware.

I'm aware.

Look at the leaderboards every week. RCR has one driver running up front and two lagging behind. Same with SHR. MWR has all three drivers always running up front.

"Mark my words, in 10 years Michael Waltrip will have the most powerful team in Nascar. He's the youngest owner other than Smoke, and he runs a better team than Stewart does. He wasn't the best driver, but wow is he a good owner." It took MWR a long time to get where they are now, they went through a lot of crap and had to call in another investor for the teams. I always thought Mikey was smart and it is starting to pay off for him, he is a pain in the ass sometimes, but he's no dummy when it comes to the business aspect of the sport. That being said I don't see him being the most powerful in 10 years, that will still be held by the Hendrick organization.

That's definitely a bit of an exaggeration. He has had the best car 6 (maybe 7) times this year. All 4 races he's won at he's had the best car, and he would have won 2 more if it wasn't for late-race restart issues (Of course, one of the issues arose at Dover, which is one of his best tracks). The only other race I remember where he had a good shot at winning was at Michigan where he blew a tire with like 5 to go. Seems to me like business at usual for the 48 team. The 48 usually comes alive late in the year, so the fact that the team's already performing excellently gets me excited.

Of course, he won 10 races in 07, let's see if he surpasses that first before we start accusing him of "cheating" for simply performing well. Chad and the rest of the team were the first to really figure out the COT which lead to the domination of the 48 during 07; it just seems like they've done the same for the Gen. 6 car. Having the best team with the best minds working on a car to make it perform well doesn't automatically mean that there's some illegal shenanigans going on. Just my two cents.

Bowyer is the only driver MWR has capable of winning the title, including Vickers 2014.
Ten years out is impossible to forecast imo.
Newman is Newman and he has few fans, but I think he is better than many care to admit. He will be in Cup next year, and he still has some future wins in store.

This post is just my opinion.

You lost me at "Random".

Can someone merge this thread at the tail end of our OG (original gangster) thread.

Thanks.

Heres a random rant. The guy I buy Christmas trees from moved.
I dont have a paperboy. My grandchildren are kids. The Kardoucheians are famous for why. Nothing rhymes with orange.Racecar spelled hackwards is the same.
Random enough for you?

If you needed to build a race car to run on a dirt track with conditions that one would find on the surface of the moon, wouldn't finding enough "grip" tend to be the biggest challenge ?

Yes. Also I would think making ur truck be able to run where the others aren't. Or whichever vehicle it may be... but I guess you would need grip for that sooo yeah I agree.

The reason I bring this up is that, from what I've read, things on the moon weigh about 16% of what they weigh on Earth.

Which means that a car that weighs 3400 lbs. on Earth would weigh a little less than 550 lbs. on the moon.

And what with the virtual lack of an atmosphere on the moon, getting any kind of down-force would be a serious challenge.
