Rate Texas Cup

I just smoked a Cuban cigar.... :beerbang:

A ten from here.

7 for racing, 10+ for entertainment value.

Agree completely! No race that Hamlin wins gets above a 7 from me.

But this one was a 10 for entertainment for sure! Gordon/Burton made the whole race for me.

9 ...the BS over the finger made it less IMO

:beerbang:

I'd be willing to bet it would have been a non-issue if ESPN hadn't shown it and/or Kyle hadn't complained on Saturday night about Carl jumping the start.

Wow, such high ratings. Maybe I'm getting older and moving away from the sport more than I thought. I much rather liked last weeks race than this one. I couldn't move away from the TV last week but this week, I kept up with the NFL on the computer while the race was on TV. There were some very interesting parts of the race, Kyle throwing a hissy and NASCAR playing the bad nanny. Two Jeffs connecting in two different ways. Top dude having his crew taken over by another team. The best car not winning the race because of tranny problems. A wild dash for the win with another Ford giving it's best to make the past, but not being able to hang on to it. Yep, lost of exciting moments in this race, but I still can't give it a top ranking. For that to happen, the race has to be edge of the seat the entire race. Having said way too much, I'll give it a 7.5 and hustle outta here.

Ok I must admit I watched a hell of a lot more football than I watched of this race, what I saw was pretty good, it had its' WWE moments that is for sure. I don't particuarly think that is good, I watch a race for racing, it did have some of that. I just watched some of the replays this morning,I still don't think switching crews on the 48 team was sending a good message to both those crews. It seemed it was a desperation move, something Chad doesn't usually do IMO. It will be very interesting to see what happens next week at Phoenix, because all 3 of the drivers in the hunt are good there. All that being said I'll give the actual racing a 7 today and the DRAMA crap a -7.

I guess you and I watched the same race. :beerbang: It was the extra stuff thrown into this one that is giving it a higher rating than warranted. The Gordon/Burton drama. The #48/#24 pit crew swap. The finger from Busch. With all of the drama, this one should have been televised on TNT.

If they could have only had a in-car cam in that ambulance. :D

I couldn't agree more.

WWE moments were interesting, but the actual racing was meh.

Why in Earth do you rate a race depending on who wins? You will never make it as a reporter in racing using that logic. It's rate the race, not who wins.

In fact a few weeks back I think he said something about me baseing my rating on how Kasey ran weird...
