Did TNT do a good, average, or bad job?

Why wasn't it on NBC? Many don't even get TNT!

I thought Bill Weber was the wrong guy for that job, Allen would've been much better.

I think it's going to be reaired on NBC at a later date.

All in all I liked this years better than the past 2 or 3 years.

The first 20 minutes were absolutely awful. The sound was way off and did not match their lip movement. Geez, after they stopped talking you would still hear the sound. I thought that the rest of the banquet was so-so. McMurray, Sadler, Johnson, and Gordon were the best. Tony was also ok. It was somewhat boring to me.

I think that was thier poor attempt at the 5 second delay joke.

I think, what part I saw, the show sucked. Entirely too scripted, people looking bored in the "audience"...(Can you actually call it an audience when there were really no guest or fans? Just drivers and teams?) and someone else other than Bill Webber should have been M.C.

Get Rikki Rachman who does the radio program "Racing Rocks" and who used to do the "Headbanger's Ball" on MTV. He seems to know what he's talking about and would probably be a little more interesting.

And he doesn't like Kurt. :D

Gotta agree, that first half hour almost made me turn the telly OFF!!!!!
Video and sound sync were NOT!!!!! LOL

Weber wasn't the right person for that duty either. Alan woulda been better.
I did like the commedian and his after speech funny's. Almost busted up when he asked Jimmie if he would take Tony's monkey shopping at Home Depot?????
Had Jimmie tongue-tied for a moment there. LOL

All in all, better that the last two years, but coulda been lots better without Weber.

I'm wondering if Alan was up in the balcony because of his broken leg. He may not have been able to cope with all the back-and-forth moving.

Over all, the coverage was so-so. At least we didn't have those people dangling from the ceiling.

We didn't miss any of the important speeches --- good.

The comedian ---- gag.

Weber's jokes --- burp.

But, all-in-all, decent coverage of the important stuff.

Ahhhhh TRL, forgot about Allens broken leg. You are probably right.

I watched the condensed version today at 11.......it was ok.........got to see my Jeffy in a suit.......he looks better without :D ..........I mean his firesuit.... :beerbang:

Pretty typical of "award banquets". Like the Academy of Motion Pictures Awards, Grammy Awards, Golden Globes Awards, etc. a lot of patting on the backs to a pretty much closed audience. If you have an interest, you will find it fun and intertaining.........if not you probably wouldn't tune in. Overall, the program was decent.........but like I said, it was typical of awards banquets. If there was something else on Friday evening that I wanted to watch, I would have skipped the thing all together. About the most interesting and fun thing was getting to see those drivers dressed up in formal and semi-formal garb!! :)

If you want a score I'll go with about a 3.

I only saw about 30 min of it. Say Kahne get ROTY award. Poor guy you can tell he not comfortable in front of camera. :D But I take it I didn't miss a lot. :beerbang:
