Stages 1 and 2 were OK, but almost nothing happened in Stage 3.

6 I was in and out of sleep all day, feeling kind of crappy but I saw pretty much the whole last stage.

3...did we all watch the same race? MTJ had the field covered in stage 3. Single file racing that was very spread out. Only 11 cars finishing on the lead lap is evidence of a few dominant guys schooling the rest of the field.

4. But only because it was fast cars, and I like fast cars. I hate to admit it, but I agree with Kyle Busch and Bob Leavine on this one. To be fair, I only got to watch the second half so by then Truex was just taking the lead and it was over.

5 The best part was the end of stage 2 with Bowman taking the lead and everyone else converging behind. The entire final stage was an aerowake follow the leader predicated on track position and clean air, which was predominantly what I saw all race long, with the exception of a handful of fun moments that come with the territory of Dover and 36 cars on a track, that allowed it to be watchable at times. The potential for a higher quality race is abundant.

My rating... 4.25.

According to Larry Mac, 2019 downforce is up about 88% from 2018. An excellent rating is 8, divide by 1.88 equals 4.25. The simple math is... high downforce kills good racing just about every time.

10. Another TRD win. 7/11 and an 18 pt. lead in the Manufacturer Standings. Wind tunnel behind US. OSS'ed all to hell. Just awesome.

9. Loved how good the first 2 stages were then Truex comes on and lays it down in the 3rd. His pit crew was flawless and Truex getting on and off pit road gained him almost 3 seconds on his lead. Impressive
