Rate the race........and a thanks to Kat for doing the rate it while I was on vacation.

You were gone? :) I couldn't help myself. I'll give the race a solid 8. It had plenty of excitement.

What race? I saw a bunch of rain and now it's dark now.
I'll give it a 3.
I suppose congrats are in order for the Biff but I was hoping Clint would take it.
You're welcome Mug.

I will give it a 5. I think they should have done the Green, White, Checker. Then Biffle is out of gas. Man why don't they just figure out a way to give it to him.

I find this race difficult to rate. Howewver, I will give it a 7.5. I thought there should have been a GWC...............and what about Biffle not able to take it across the finish line under its own power.

Flipper kinda took it on the nose in points, as well as a bunch of others.

Who's Flipper?

Who's Flipper?
LOL......Carl Edwards. :)

I hear that Johnson plans on filing a protest. Biffle was unable to maintain pace car speed..........remember Johnson once lost 2 positions for the same thing.

Was it Bowyer or Johnson that said what were they supposed to do wait on him?

Johnson.

That was wacky.

IF Biffle's win is legitamate, than NASCAR DELIBERATELY screwed Robby at Montreal, and should credit Robby with that win.

Oh yeah!

And I remember when an old guy in the 6 car pulled into the pits to celebrate his victory a lap too early... They didn't give him the win...

It was palin for all to see he couldn't possibley have finished at race speed with the gasoline he had in the car.. The race should be rescored.
Betsy:rolleyes:

I REMEMBER THAT! :XXROFL:

When he won in Atlanta that year, he joked to MRN: "I ran another lap to make up for Bristol."

1994, one of the best seasons ever in racing!

betsy and andy....are you going to give it a rating :) :)

I was down in MIR for the first half watching the fastest organized drag races IN WORLD HISTORY (See my thread "IHRA at MIR").

Saw the final 60 laps or whatever, I say 10. :D

From my perspective I give it a 10++++. Being out amongst the crowd in front of the stage for driver intros, on pit road during the national anthem, to being underneath the #29's tent on pit road trying to stay dry and not get struck by lightning it was an experience that I will not soon forget. Fun stuff.

Ok I'll give it a number..

Good hard racing.. Lots of fast cars coming from the back... A hot slick track followed by a clean, cool fast track.. And the ESPN2 part of the race being commercial free... About a 9.5 for my rating.
Betsy:D

a 8 for Clint getting a fuel mileage and luck win. A 2 at NASCAR's inconsistency and scoring systems.

I'll second that, Biff won nuff said, it's just like jimmie and jeff to whine.

The race was too screwed up to rate...maybe a 5.
Everybody (the chevy guys) need to get off of Biff about not being under power at the finish...
Last year Tony coasted across the finish line, out of gas for the win, nobody (the chevy guys, again) complained about it then...

Tony crossed the finish line BEFORE everyone else did. Not this time. But.....since the field was "frozen" for the caution, I guess it didn't matter if Biffle crossed the finish line dead last he would have won. And, I don't see it as whining from Jimmie or Clint. I see it as questioning Nascar about one of their own rules. You must finish the last lap under power and without help from anyone across the finish line.

Under yellow, you cannot pass the leader unless he stops.

Oh, and I'll rate the race an 8, and the fact that Jimmie came from 43rd to 3rd a 10++++++. Too bad there wasn't a green/white/checker. :D

And, under yellow you must maintain pace car speed. :p

Okay. So you have posted this what? Three times???

I'm just yanking your chain!!! I really understood who won the race right as the race ended, so you don't have to be quite so defensive.

Stewart Wasn't under power when he crossed the finish line but was ahead of the rest of the field - obviously, or he wouldn't have won.

Biffle wasn't under power nor mantaining pace car speed when he was passed after the field was frozen. IF Biffle's win is allowed to stand, those who passed him should be penalized.

Jeff Gordon was interviewed on speed and all I caught of it before I could get the remote to change the cahnnel was him saying he wanted Biffle to win due to points.

Bingo.

I agree with Jimmie on this though. They set the precedent at Montreal when the penalty went to Robby Gordon for not maintaining pace speed instead of Marcos Ambrose for wrecking Robby under caution. :idunno:

I give it an 8 until those last two laps and then just a 5.

Biff must have been out of gas, no burnouts or driving to VL
