Ok, time to rate the race, on a scale of 1 to 10. How in the world did Johnson run out of gas.
 
I give it an 8 overall.

But by Michigan standards, that's like a 9.5.
 
I will give it an 8.5. I still think that they must not have got a full tank on Johnson's previous stop. I thought that a few others may run out of gas on the last few laps.

I think Jimmie pitted with 53-56 to go. No way they could have made it. I'm surprised they brought him in that early. Pit window for fuel was around 40 laps.

That's about my thoughts too.

AND, folks can say what they want about Tony spouting off, but we are indeed having a lot less bogus cautions, and I am thankful for that.
When was the last race that went green that long racing to the checker, 2 full fuel runs? It must be a long long time ago.
