RATE THE RACE: Atlanta

I'll go with 7.5. I thought it was a decent race despite Gordon or Truex not winning.

Baltimore Grand Prix: -10! :p

I will go a 7, the last 50 saved the thing..

On a side note, If you can give less than a zero rating, that is what I give the winner.

I'm giving it a 6. Atlanta usually produces some good racing, but not tonight.

The race a 4 or 5
Who didn't win a 9

I'll give the race a 7. It would probably be a little lower if not for the exciting finish, though.

Can't see how some of y'all are rating the race so low. Sure there are more exciting races, but only a 2 or 3? The only way I would rate a race that low is if everyone was single file the entire race, and there was no passing or cautions.

Didn't see it because of work but judging from following on twitter and seeing how Kasey ran not high.

Yeah, the last 50 most definitely saved this one. Truex jr would've won in a perfect world but we all live in one that will always be far from it.
Hamlin sure did have a fast car tonight, though, and congrats to him.

I could never give a race any rating lower than a five.
I just go by the pizza theory when it comes to NASCAR racing.

7.23
It was exciting watching via Gordon's Hotpass channel. The network missed a lot of really good passes in the pack.

The network can't cover it all. Hotpass should be expanded to 10 channels and everybody should have it. It's that damn good.

When a race is on Im like "Hell YA!"

When Jimmie is on Hotpass Im like "HELL YEAH!!!!!":partytime:djspin:

JJ sure attempted a hotpass last night. ;)

It was funny to hear him say "I got Hornished" as he limped to the apron. JJ sure was driving hard last night, and that's unusual to see.

His car had absolutely no side bite upon restarts. This is becoming a chronic problem for the 48

The rear seems to be loose. ;)

That's exactly what Kez was saying at Michigan. The tricked out cars take some time to get moving after a restart, so that's when he was able to get out front. After a few lasp, JJ blew right by him and Biffle did the same.

5, but it was better than the standard open wheel snooze fest.
Correction, it was better than any open wheel snooze fest regardless of where or when it's held.

Good race, not great. I must watch it with a better group of people than you all. ;)

Had a great time. Put in my five bucks and drew McMurray and True Jr. as my race picks. OK McMurray..... I didn't expect anything more than I got. Truex Jr. was a great surprise up until the end. I was already spending the money and BLAM, Caution. SOB. Well, I lost to my daughters picks of Earnhardt Jr. and Hamlin. Not a bad night in all. :D Can't wait until next week!

Nothing excites NASCAR "fans" anymore, so you can't judge whether a race was good or not by the ratings of other people.

You are quite right Brent . You are a great Nascar fan . The worst Nascar race beats any other sporting event , in my opinion . All the races are a 10 to me . I rarely watch only the tv coverage because I like to keep track of the passing back in the field. The lap by lap coverage on the net , keeps you up to date on the faster cars coming up through the field. Don't have any idea what Grand Prix racing is , but I'm sure that it doesn't attract the fans that Nascar does .

I used to do this when I still traveled to some friends house with my wife. It's amazing how much fun that 5 spot can bring for three or four hours. Now that I have a bun in the oven I can't do it. Is there anyway somebody here has the time to setup a legal system for us to wager a five spot on a race? That would be tits. It's like when I used to play pool against guys who were really good. They would play for a buck a game all day. They said it makes you pay attention.

Yes great fun but probably no legal way. Besides, how would players online be assigned car numbers? In person we put all of the numbers in a hat and draw them out one by one until they are gone. That's a fair deal to everyone involved. Personally I don't know how random car numbers could be assigned to everyone willing to play if you were doing this online.

I could emboss numbers on wax paper, then wrap them in pepperoni. Then I would feed them to some sort of animal, collect the feces, and we would know. This sounds crazy, but it sounds fair ;)

Fender knows his feces. I'd assign that retrieval process to him. ;)
