Thought I'd start this thread before I went to sleep.

As of lap 281:

Race: 0
Coverage: -50

WORST... RACE... EVER.

The coverage did suck, ESPN sucks at covering the races.

However, for the race itself, I'd have to give it an 8.

10 but then JJ won
ESPN coverage- Even this JJ fan gives it a 1. I learned more on Twitter than I did from ESPN

ESPN is the worst network EVER at showing the races. The race wasn't much but the last few laps were ok. I'll go with a 5.5 and that's only thanks to Gordon who made it a little exciting.

I musta been watching a different race than some of you (especially Andy...does he ever quit whining??? I think you need to quit watching or something)

The race was VERY entertaing, until about 12 laps to go when when the 48 decided to use all that available horepower again. (so as to not make it so obvious...)

There was alot of racing, and we didn't know who was going to win until the end. Heck, there was even side by side racing for the lead there near the end of the race, and there were two cars right behind that that could have had a shot.

8+ for me (with the exception of the winner)

Do you EVER stop complaining? Seems like every other race with you is the worst or most boring race ever? Time to find another sport, i guess.

Couldn't have said it any better. I saw the same race that you did.

Single file racing the whole time (except for the inital 5 laps after a restart). The pole sitter winning the race. It looked more like an F1 race than a NASCAR race.

The only thing that made it watchable was all the Chasers having troubles (except the 48 car, go figure:rolleyes:).

Glad I watched the Caps game.:) Just my opinion.

Then again, I only saw what ABC allowed me to see. It was probably a much better race on radio or in person.

Wait, if you watched the Caps game instead, how the heck can you even comment on the race???? Jeez, seriously, all you do is complain. Did you NOT see the side by side racing? Or did you just turn a blind eye to it because of your hatred towards ESPN??? (I'm guessing the second latter)

While the pole sitter did indeed win the race, we didn't know who was going to win until about 12 laps to go.

Oh, but you wouldn't know that because you watched the hockey game instead.

And some people wonder why the hell Andy gets bashed so often.

Did you ever think that maybe Andy watched both the race and the hockey game.

I watched the race but also watched the Yankee game and seen enough to be able to rate the race.

Geez, comment "on the race".

I give it a 7. Racing was good, but have to deduct because of the obvious winner.

So i take it that you actually enjoy Andy's never ending complaining, week after week? I mean look at last week, (and other weeks througout the season), claims that he's not even going watch the race, and yet here we are, knee deep in complaints about the track, the broadcast, the weather, anything and everything.

Quite frankly, I get tired of seeing it, and I'm calling him on it. And my comment was pretty close about him claiming, just about every other week, that a particular race was either the worst race ever, or the worst broadcast ever.

The non-stop *****ing does get incredibly old. The calls for NASCAR to abandon this track and that track(i.e. give a race to Iowa, all of 1 year old and with a 30,000 seating capacity...and lying about the attendnce to make his point look better), constantly railing on Michigan, Texas, Fontana, and then jerking off over Pocono, neverending complaining about ESPN, FOX, TNT...no matter whos doing the race, its awful. His unreasonable vendetta against certain drivers man love for others, talking down to people who dont like his drivers basically calling anyone who likes a driver he doesnt a moron, etc.

Simple solution. Put Andy on ignore if you don't like his posts. Most of the forum, ***** about the TV coverage.

I view these posts to see how the forum rates the race, not to see who complains or doesn't like those that do complain.

It's not just the "rate the race" threads where he complains. It's dam near every race thread. Just about any other thread for that matter. ad it never ends.

Ignore is for wussies (was going to use another word). But if Andy could actually be positive for anything other than ARCA, I'd probably not gripe as much about his constant griping.

VADirt, Andy loves racing, probably more than most of us. He attends more racing events than I can count. He reads about all knids of racing and starts many, many, of the topics on racing on this forum. Yeah, he complains a lot but hopefully we can overlook that fault of his. I appreciate his contribution to the forum and try to overlook what some consider the negatives.

Now, lets forget Andy and all of us cheer Jeff Gordon on to the Championship. :) Deal!!??

well muggle, I will have to say I can't agree with ya..... at least on the last point....... Just can't get the words Go Jeff to come out.......lol.... so you will excuse me if I still yell for Mark.........

as for the race, prolly bout a 7...... was some pretty good moments, some pretty dull..... but hey, least I got to watch it......

LOL, I know exactly how you feel.

It's easy to say, Go Mark.

That's ok. The board would be dull if we all liked the same one. :)

ain't it the truth...... and to think, I married a Jeff Gordon fan.......lol. even worse, when I was a kid, Dad was a Pearson fan, Mom a Waltrip fan, and I was a die hard Petty fan. You can just imagine Sunday dinner in the Sims household.......lol. Good thing most races weren't on live back then......

After his post count went to zero (for whatever reason maybe a tune up by mods) he seemed to lighten up considerably, almost to the point of he's ok , but that didn't last long. He got right back to pissin people off as much as possible with either direct or indirect comments for the sole purpose of firing them up. I for one can not and will not simply ignore this behavior. I'm gonna fire back, just look at his siggy that he's so proud of.
I don't come around here nearly as much as I used to mainly because of him.
And yes go Gordon but first Mark Martin..

Once again, I'm not allowed to have an opinion because I don't agree with 3 or 4 members.

7

Wasn't a bad race, but I've seen better. Jimmie was dominating, but that's nothing to hate him about. There were lead changes fairly often, but the big story was nearly all the chasers having problems except for the #48 team.

Once again, I'm not allowed to have an opinion because I don't agree with 3 or 4 members.

Sorry, Andy, but it's not just "3 or 4 members", and it's not your opinion they disagree with. It's your methods. If an admin posted a vote on if you were banned or not, I highly doubt you'd still be here at the end of the day.

I can't speak for anyone else, but when I take issue with your posts it's for many reasons. And your differing opinion is not one of them. Then when people call you out on your bad behavior, you throw your hands up in the air, and play dumb: "why's everyone picking on me?" and quote them in your sig.

Putting you on ignore is not the answer. Members here shouldn't have to choose who they listen to or not. They should be free to read any post they want without obnoxious posts.

I like reading some of your posts, and in fact a lot of times I agree with you. But you go overboard on expressing your opinions. That's what people don't like.

Lately, I've been leaning towards leaving the board. I don't see you as being the type of person to accept criticism, or admit when you're wrong. Sure, we all make mistakes. I've gone overboard more than once before. Either because of a misunderstanding, or just because I was being stupid. In either case I've tried to fix the problem by apologizing, or making myself clearer.

Andy, you've haven't done either one. Instead, you embrace people's hate for you. You make fun of their opinions, while making their quotes part of your sig. You've shown an unwillingness to accept that maybe you are going overboard sometimes.

That's why people have a problem with you. And the answer is surprisingly simple: a sincere apology would go a long way to improving the situation.

I don't agree with Andy on a alot of things, but I haven't really read anything for him to be banned. I just chalk it up to his age and finding his way. I've even defended him on some things.

I'd have to agree with a lot of what you say. Although I don't think banning is a solution. You've hit on the major issue I have as well. Using people's quotes about you in your sig. That, and the fact that Andy's even stated that he posts just to get a rise out of people. (and yes, you have actually admitted it).

Like Hammer said, it's not you opinion that people don't like. It's the manner in which that opinion is made.

I'm not saying he should be banned. I was just making a point that the way he conducts himself here has made him more enemies than friends.

I think a lot of people would leave the forum (for good or ill) before Andy was outright banned.

I haven't broken any rules. I haven't made fun of anyone's opinion, I simply disagree and stated why. Isn't that how we debate?

I thought the Charlotte race sucked, and flipped back and fourth between that and the hockey game. Then again, ESPN/ABC only showed us one or two cars all race long.

As for the TV coverage, I usually watch the races I attend afterward if they're televised. ESPN didn't even mention that a crew member was seriously injured. Not one damn word about it. Even the crappy network that airs the USAR races would've mentioned that much. ESPN is racing toward irrelevancy quicker than Jimmie Johnson's racing toward a fourth championship. I'm not the only person that loathes ESPN's coverage. The fact that they haven't come anywhere near NBC's ratings should show that.
