Rate the race: Chicago Chase Race

I'll go with an 8. Great racing during the second half of the race after the rain delay. Would've been nice if the finish were closer, but I shouldn't say that since I'm very happy Kyle didn't win.

9. Good racing, dicey restarts, and a good deal of Chase drama right at the beginning of this!

Pretty much what I expect from this Chicago racetrack.

I'll bump it up a point for the excitement of night time racing. But these cars always get strung out pretty quick after restarts on this track.

After all these years of watching NASCAR racing, I can't remember the last time I watched a Sunday race and the NASCAR bosses were willing to wait until SUNDOWN to restart it.
Guess they're just trying to make it up to us fans after all the crap this week.

I would have been fine with a Monday restart.
But, thanks anyways, NASCAR.

8...I would have liked to seen a little closer fight for the finish. The rain didn't bother me because it caused them to have some extra coverage and made it a night race.

this track has never given me that fuzzy feeling. I just do not care for it. I mean it reminds me of Kansas, Kentucky, Texas, Atlanta. I realize that I am stereotyping most of the 1.5 mile tracks as the same, I just do not care much for intermediate track racing, give me a talladega, daytona, or a road course, oh, and short tracks.

8.9

I thought about deducting 1.0 point for no Titan. But everything worked itself out, without the Titan they didn't make it to half-way, if it had I think they would have called it and we would have had a rain shortened finish.

So I only deducted 0.1 point.

I give it an 8, wish someone would have had something for Matt at the end. I am thrilled for Kurt's fourth place finish.

Well Kyle did but your man Kurt .....that would be Kyles bro must have spun his tryes on the restart......Harvick pushed Matt out front.

Yeah, I heard Kyle say something about that, in his interview. *nodding*

Lots of people came from the back last night, Kurt, Jimmie, and Jeff. Kurt just didn't quite have the car that Jimmie and Jeff did though, IMO.

Kurt was a lap down early too....and nothing wrong with a 4th place finish.

Not at all, he just has to hang in there and stay close in the races. I am so proud of him for not losing it (he gathered himself after cussing) last night when he got that speeding penalty.

Way too long a day for people in attendance and working at the track.
Having to sit through stick and ball stuff waiting to hear an update was no fun.
Once they got going them boys (and girl) were racing hard. Looked like everyone was giving 150%.
So overall I give it a 7. Most of these 1.5's can be boring but not last night.

Its still night here....1.48am ;)

I enjoyed the night racing part of the race. I'm surprised someone didn't accuse Hendrick for blowing up Jr's car to get Gordon on the lead lap (but then I haven't looked at all the posts today).
