I'll give it the same reaction and same rating EXCEPT...

I'd throw a good, solid 10 in there for the singing of the National Anthem. Good job, Troop.

If the little shrub would of won it would of been at least a 10 for Andy.

I saw a little in the middle (power was out. Could of had another tornado) went and shot fireworks. Then the last 21 laps.

I'll give it a 10. The finish was a 10.

Race follow the leader gets a 4

last 2 laps gets a 10

Weber-less TNT coverage gets a 10

I have to say 8 because of a couple of stretches were it got kind of boring.

Completely missed it. At the dirt track in Winchester, VA. Just got in the door.

The best I can give it is a 5 or 6. Who would have ever thought a plate race would be boring? It was so bad people were hoping for a caution just to see a restart.

The finish was a 9.

The coverage was a 10. They should do that all the time with all the networks who cover races. They used to always have the Nationwide races side-by-side on ESPN2 and they should do it all the time with that series and the Cup series.

I agree. I believe Versus does it all the time with the Indy series.

They also did it before they were on Versus. I forget which network had them previously. Apparently the other networks feel they need someone to sponsor it because of the cost. I remember they used to say the side-by-side coverage was sponsored by ..........fill in the sponsor. From the sound of it, TNT did this all on their own. Props to them.

Broadcast 10 (can't we do this every week)
Race 6- too many of my drivers got wrecked
Finish- 1 and 10. 1 because so many wrecked 10 because just WOW. :D

Were you at Summit Point?

I will rate it a 6 at best.

Every driver that chop blocks should have no ***** about being put in the wall.

Opsss, I missed you saying "dirt".

I'd have to say a 6..... it was ok, at moments it was great....... but, yea..... woulda liked it alot better if not for Mark messing up in like the first 10 minutes of the race....lol... made for a long race.
I do just wonder how many more finishes it's gonna take like this before someone, either driver or fan ( or both) get seriously hurt before NASCAR does something....... I mean thats two in a row. Don't know what the answer is either though, just seems like with the out of bounds, the blockin, and the rest, it's just gettin scary....... jmo.

Wide open coverage a 10!!!
They used to do "Wide open coverage" by making the racing smaller, and the commercials bigger screen. More racing is better. Need wide open coverage of more races.

Meat in middle of race, A stale 6.

Finish, 10. Just what you'd expect from Shrub. I thought he learned a little bit by all the Checkers or Wreckers finishes he has had in the past. He ruined alot of peoples cars and nights, not to mention his own. I understand going for it, but wrecking your stupid a__ and the rest of the field trying to be Superman, man that is just plain stupid. Grow up Kyle.

Kyle Busch bouncing around like a bowling pin before start finish line, big 10.

Race: 5
Finish: 6
Coverage: 9

Just another follow the leader plate race, with a big crash taking out good teams. It's almost expected now that someone will get turned coming to the finish at a plate race.

I really liked TNT's "Wide Open" coverage except for one minor complaint: when covering the race I thought the info bar at the bottom took up too much space. Granted, you're going to have that so advertisers can run ads at the bottom, but I felt that it was a bit much.

Plus, whoever made it did some odd design choices. For example, when showing a drivers picture their head would overlap the leaderboard. Then anytime they showed info like "Top Toyota Drivers" the leaderboard would reset. Considering they did this a lot, you rarely saw who was running below 20th.

How the hell am I supposed to follow where Dale is running if they don't show the bottom half of the field?

:D

I hope more stations decide to do the "Wide Open" coverage. IRL has had this for a while, and it's over due in NASCAR.

I guess I am just a simple minded race fan. I was at my local short track Friday night and loved all aspects of the race. I would have to say the same of Daytona last night.

The short guy from Indiana that won made my weekend. :beerbang:
